Unless it's winter, you have a stock PCM, and you're in 1st gear. But yes 10psi is very low.
However 10psi is the "something must be wrong" threshold that dealers have before they'll commit to working (assuming a low boost reading is all you have as evidence of trouble.) I wouldn't know that from experience though, and I'm happy about that.
I tightened all of my clamps with a screw driver a while back and I assumed that would be tight enough. Will this be ok or should a use a 1/4 drive socket to get them tighter?
I've gotta say this is the most troubling problem I've ever encountered on a turbo car. I've seen GN's whip up to 30 psi and NEVER have this kind of issue. My turd, has not seen more than 10 psi in months and it's making me nuts. All summer 5 to 9 psi. WTF. I yanked all the piping off last weekend and no holes nothing. I cleaned the surfaces and reinstalled everything and it still won't make any boost beyond 9 sometimes 10 psi. First gear the car makes a ridiculous 5 Psi.
I'm running a boost leak checker this weekend with somemore umph as the bike pump wasn't enough to generate the psi I needed to hear where it's leaking at. If I can't find this thing I'm gonna blow it to the moon then DCX can give me a new one. What a PITA.
you sure the lines in solenoid #2 (boost control solenoid) ain't on backwards?

Black line in the middle, green line on the top.
Never had them apart. It just did it on it's own. One thing I noticed is the plug for the WGA is missing the weathertight fitting to keep it weather proof and connected solidly. Mine is rather loose.
Oh! It's been to two different dealers and neither could fix it. One even called DCX and they couldn't help either.

Personally I had a MOJOR boost leak, but it was due to a hole in the "Hot Side" intercooler hose. My boost would not go above 10 psi and the car was making a loud hissing sound. I replace hose and that cured the problem.
Well, I put a hard pipe kit on the hot side and still no boost above 9 psi.
I swear if I don't get this fixed soon she's gonna be out the door. I'm gonna yank the crappy ass mopar bov and hope that cures it. However, I doubt it, because it did this even when I took the bov off and returned it to stock. So we'll see. If not then I give up.
Jack the front of the car up and make sure you ahve plenty of support under it!
Put it in 1 gear then apply the brake while applying gas. Take it no more than 2500 if you dont have to. The car should be making plenty of boost. If you have a leak, your buddy who is compitent shoudl be able to hear where its coming from.
If he is not a wuss, he would even go under the car and check for leaks around the piping.
Just make sure you have about 4 jack stands on it! 2 on each pinch weld which is where your stock jack goes and another two under the engine cross member etc.
some advice for #3, don't pull out the staple!!! If you did, don't tighten it down to hard!! I messed with mine for days trying to get it to stay in place "after tightening it" & having it pop off. I got it back on & it has stayed on so far.
Initially, I did run the test with at my brothers place and as soon as the boost gauge got close to 10psi you could clearly hear a leak on the hot side and no where else.
So, with that I took it to the dealer I bought the car from and they re-examined the car. With the grace of GOD there was another SRT there, so the service manager and I took the two cars out for a ride and it was at that point that the service manager believed me that the cars made more than 10 psi. They still didn't fix it, but were willing to bring it bac, because they wanted to have a DCX tech come in and look at it.
On my own I picked up a hard pipe kit for the hot side only and installed it today. She's still not right. I was soo sure that the kit would have fixed it.
I'll run the test as you stated, hector, and see what I come up with. What a pain. First, I'll rerun the initial boost leak check to see what I come up with. Maybe my couplers aren't holding....Who knows. Before that I am yanking the BOV and returning it to stock.
