Uh oh...my boost has started to fall to 12psi at redline. Could not enough washers in the rfl bov be a cause? No matter what my spike is...it falls to 12psi. I thought it was my ebc...I took that off and tried running it off the wga...it then fell to 11psi:-( I checked all my clamps and they are tight...removed all my zipties on the hoses and replaced with clamps. I took out the rfl bov and put some rtv around the seal and reinstalled. After all this still 12psi at redline. I also get a slight sputter(no spark blowout or too much fuel) every 5 secs. or so at wot. Will be boost leak testing this saturday.

well going along with this i seem to be having a boost leak and im not sure where it is because i peak 17lbs then it drops from there and its supposed to hold 15lbs and its not it hits 17 and drops drastically before i hit the next gear and im not sure where to start looking for it because a couple of my buddies said the guy that had it before me rigged some T piece together that one of my hoses goes to and its quite depressing if anyone could share i would appreciate it because i would like to get this fixed.

Default ah man

well all i have to say is im running 15 lbs and thats what its supposed to hold and now i think i have a internal problem with the motor which could be why i see the problem and i think the guy had a boost controller which blows and replaced it with some stupid T vacuum line thing that i went out and bought a foot of tubing that a little too small and that bitch works good i dont know if i fixed it because i havent been able to drive it because of legal reasons haha but yeah ha.

Default A good one for ya

K so this has been f##%ing with me for the past couple days and this seems like the post I should post one. I can only push seven pounds of boost. I have an 04 stage 2 with toys. Running on a greddy profec B spec 2. I have checked all the piping and all the hoses I could see. I thought it might be the boost controller's sol. Took it off and with a nine volt batt I tested it and it clicked. so that's not it. We then decided to take the line off the waste gate to run open waste gate and it got up to 15 and we backed off so i don't think it could be a boost leak but somthings gotta be messed up. Any Idea's? There is a green wire going from the wire harness on the driver side to the back of the valve cover. It looks melted. So if anyone could help me out with this that would be wonderful.

Thanks Ryan. I'm on a diff name. My screen name is Rollin22s.

so if i had one bolt and gasket missing off the flange connecting the manifold to the downpipe. would that cause a boost leak while trying to do a boost leak test?

Wow, these past few comments make me laugh.

To answer a few:

The PCV is the black thing on the passenger side of the valve cover that sticks up.

Doesn't matter man, you are always gonna fall to 11-12lbs by redline. Get an upgraded WGA to fix that problem. If anyone has problems with boost leaks PM me. I have seen them all on a friends car. lmao.

Is there another boost leak thread? One that maybe outlines the NOT SO COMMON places where one might be leaking boost?

I have a big turbo and all the stock lines have been removed so I'm only running a boost source from the manifold to my boost controller (and blow off valve) all of the solenoid sources have been removed. I have what sounds like a leak coming from behind the battery somewhere but I can't seem to find it.

I tightened everything down, charge pipe, hot and cold pipes, vac lines are zip tied etc. I had a leak coming from the TPS sensor but i replaced the 0-ring. When boost leak testing I hear a fairly audible leak coming from somewhere behind the battery. My turbo is supposed to be able to hold 25 lbs to redline (agp s3D) but I'm only hitting 22 pounds and it drops to around 16 at redline, it can't hold boost at all.

Does anyone have any idea where this might be leaking from? I'm to the point of giving up and saying screw it, but only making 300whp (dynoed) with this turbo is ridiculous.
