Default Battery light comes on when driving

So just last night, I was driving home from work and my battery light came on with a beep, then went back off...then later it came on for a split second again. I turned off my neons, my head unit, unplugged my cell charger and turned off my fogs to see if it would still come on, and it didn't, so I thought it wasn't the end of the world. Well this morning I went to start my car and all I hear is a fast clicking noise when I turn the key, not even a struggling starter.

When I first test drove the car back in may, I went to start it and it did the same thing. They jumped it and it was fine. Then once, I left my lights on for about 2 hours and it happened again (I've left my lights on in my old saturn for over 8 hours and it started no problem)

So does this sound like a battery problem or something more serious like an alternator or faulty starter? I want to know because it's getting cold here and I need to spend money on winter tires with studs.

Other info...dunno if it will help diagnose the problem...whenever it gets wet outside, one of my belts under the hood squeals like mad when I have the heater/ac on. Also sometimes I hear a light squeaking from it when my psi goes to -25 ish, or a loud quick squeak when I downshift and floor it. I cleaned the belt on the far right passenger side of the engine though... I don't know if a slipping belt could cause battery problems. Also I installed my 500w amp and 10" sub in the trunk and when the sub hits hard my lights dim...whereas my coworker has 2 12s' with 4000w in his tiny little Hyundai Accent and his lights don't dim at all, even with no capacitor. I also had the same sub/amp combo installed the same way in my old saturn and had no dimming problems either. Other than that, I have two 15" and two 10" blue neons installed and hardwired into the 12V line with a rocker switch as well. I tested my wiring job with a voltmeter and made sure no current goes to them unless the switch is on so there's no chance they are draining it when my car and the switch is off. Any ideas what's going on? I know I can't go wrong with getting a new battery anyway, so any suggestions on that as well?

get a new battery. Sounds like your battery is no good. Take it to an auto zone or whatever you have by you and get it tested. I bought my car in march and had to replace it in may because it was the stock battery and just was no good. Save yourself some trouble and spend the money to replace it now
