Default ATTENTION- All Stage 2 owners w/hesitation/boost loss

I have been having issues after getting my Stage 2 w/out toys installed at the dealer. It would seem the car only felt like it had solid power at maybe 70% throttle. At full throttle the car would spike to the correct amount but the boost would quickly fall to 12psi or lower.. Also it was rough at idle and would sometimes have hesitation issues. The power felt good but was just not solid like it should be.

I checked for boost leaks which I didn't find anything. My wires were bran new and the plugs had just been recently changed by the dealer... So I decided to get some of the NGK 4306 Copper plugs and gap them to 40. Upon removing my old plugs I found that they were barely even hand tight-if even that. I removed the plugs and found stock Champions gapped at anywhere from 50-54!!!! So, I used the anti-sieze on the plugs, and that gell stuff on the inside of the wire boot. Also made sure to get a good wire gapper for the plugs to make sure they were accurate. After the plugs were installed I reset the ECU.

Upon start-up I noticed immediately that the car ran MUCH smoother to say the least. Also as I pulled out of the driveway the car drove smoother as well. The power band seemed more predictable. I went to the highway and punched it in 2nd gear- immediate jump to 16psi blead to 15psi and held. Then 3rd-jumped to 18psi and bled to 16 and held, then just a quick shot into 4th- jumped to 20psi and bled down to about 17psi.

The car drives much smoother, I am not loosing boost (obviously the car was pulling timing), and the car is much-much quicker Just wanted to share my experience because I have noticed a few people doing threads with similar problems to my own.

I would also just your wga to make sure they ajusted it to the 4mm load preset.

You also might want to pull the plugs again & take them down to .35 or .37...

I have noticed on may stage2 that the smaller plug gap makes for better starts.

Platinum plugs in a turbo. Not a good thing. Happy melting.

I'd also like to send him the 20 oz Dasani bottle of oil my catch can saved from going into my IC from just 12k miles of driving. You think a DCX engineer is going to admit that they should have come up with some sort of catch can system for the SRT-4 to keep oil out of the IC and hoses?

I trust DCX engineers about as much as I trust the government.

Well my car starts up very well...just like stock. Power is extremely strong with no hesitation or timing issues. Running tip top now. I saw too many people liking the NGK 4306 (copper) plugs to ignore them. They run outstanding!

I just went for NGK's GP Platinum, stock# 3381, PN: LZTR5AGP, which is the SRT-4 callout at sparkplugs.com, they didn't show any plugs for an SRT8. I haven't had a chance to put them in yet, but I should later this week. I'll post back my results.

I don't know how much I trust the engineers... They also say that you don't need a catch can even though your intercooler fills up with oil.

Also said that Stage 1 injectors were perfectly safe to use with the stage 2 kit one time, then at another chat session they said the Stage 1 injectors would be dangerous you use with the Stage 2 kit.
