Default all the problems

Well I bought my car in August and between then and now my car has been in the shop a total of 6 times for warranty work...

the first time that it was in the shop was for plugs and wires going bad. then it was in the shop 5 times for the TPS going bad...

Now my tires have a wierd wear pattern. only on the outside of each tire.. like the drivers side of the drivers front tire, and the passenger side of the passenger tire... 9500 miles and I have to get new tires already...

also I don't know if this is a problem, but I just think that it is odd

depending on what gear I am in the boost shows anywhere from 12PSI to 18 PSI... is this normal?

Damn, after 2 times screwing with my TPS, I filed lemon law papers. Your more patient than I.

I talked to a lawyer friend of mine and he told me that if it was in the shop 1 more time that it would be acceptible.... I might have to do it now... the boost prob has always been there.. I just thought it was a pcm thing that it was sopose to do...

One fix at a time. Keep in mind, mine was when the car was new. Read the sticky about TPS, I wrote it Tells the whole thing. Cliff notes, they refused to attempt a fix til they could datalog the car. No timeframe for when they could do it. I filed, they replaced the sensor without any logging.

With stage 0 and boosting that much you'd get a cel, IMO the gauge is off when it's reading this. These gauges go left and right, I'm on my 3rd right now.

I was under the impression that the 04 and 05 models already have the stage 1 installed out of the box

No, they have the same injectors, but not the programming. Slightly better programming than 03s, but still not quite Stage 1

some early build 04s had a problem over boosting. I had one here at work the customer would lug the car up a hill and boost would go past 18/19 and start popping like it was back firing and then fall on it's face. I was on the phone w/ STAR for like an hour when they finnally sent me to Sephan's from PVO's voice mail he got back to me a day later and said there was a problem with the PCM software on early models so Iput a PCM in it and it was good to go

20 psi on the stock turbo, yes. but on a stock car, no. 18 is not normal at all for a stage 0 car, either the car is being screwy or the gauge is screwed up. and no, 04's do not have stage 1 installed from the factory. they have the stage 1 injectors, but not the ecu.

You may just have a bad guage. Does the check engine light come on? If it doesn't I bet your guage is screwy.
