I need some help. I installed my 60-1 tonight, with an xtreme boost manifold and o2 housing. it was a nightmare. the stock hotside pipe didnt line up with the turbo no matter wat way the inlet was facing, so we had to cut a bit of the pipe off, put a nice big v-cut in it, bend it to a 45 degree angle an weld it just to get it to fit (my friend who did the weld is an expert at it, so its not all choppy). once we got that on we started putting everything back together, and the exhaust was the last part, but the o2 housing i have has a slant to it, so there was no way possible to bolt on the exhaust. so heres the trouble. i have a cel which i kno is due to the face i cant plug in my 2ndary o2 sensor. and the main problem is the car overeats. I put a gallon of coolant in and had the cap off as i let the car warm up and there was non stop air bubbles, and i let it run for at least 20 mins. so i figured i'll try driving it home, and once i backed out of the garage, the temp gauge started to rise rapidly, making the car not safe to drive (obviously). does anybody have any ideas or suggestions? I kno the car takes 2 gallons of coolant and i only put 1 in, but that wouldnt cause continous air bubbles. maybe a bad head gasket? i need help

if you squeeze the radiator pipes & burp the system, you can usually get the coolant to get down into the radiator ... if the coolant temp is rapidly rising, odds are the coolant that you did put in has now made it's way into the radiator ... have you taken off the cap since you drove it? it's probably bone dry in the t-stat housing now
also, it's pretty common to have to modify your stock hotside pipe to line up with the new turbo ... that's why AGP's kits/turbos use a 90* bend on the outlet of the compressor housing (which you still have to cut off about 3/4"-1" of the coupler & modify it) and CTI's kit comes with a new charge pipe .... but the o2 housing being slanted
we had the car running while we were topping off the coolant, and we kept squeezing the radiator hose to try an get the air pockets out. we didnt have the bleeder screw opened, but we couldnt fit the new overflow tank anywhere so we just ran the hose to the ground until i can make room for the overflow tank (it was 4am, we jus wanted to sleep lol), so it had an opened line of air, but I'm not sure if that was enough to bleed the system out. im gonna head back today an try to get things rolling. thanks bro, oh an btw, hows your car? i saw at the mem day meet people said you were havin trouble with it
more than just trouble ... the pic in my sig is what my car looks like right now (in my driveway) ... the motor is out & all torn apart, waiting for the new motor to go in
on the way down to the meet I bent a rod... tried to drive the car back as far as possible to see if I could somehow miraculously make it all the way home to Massachusetts, but the rod decided to shoot through the block after only ~50 miles ... I ended up getting the car towed about 250 miles in the end
for the o2 housing, we hacked up my side exit exhaust and made a custom 1 piece dump exhaust with a resonator, sounds great too. and as for the coolant issue, there was jus some air pockets stuck in, had to actually bleed the system about 2 hrs ago again cus I didnt tighten the rad cap till the 2nd click...but now shes runnin strong
