Emissions mainly. The closer the cat is to the exhaust port, the quicker the cat gets to it's "light off" temperature. Its much easier to put the cat closer to the exhaust port when it is at the back of the engine.

Default SRT-8 Dakota!!!!

When is Dodge going to do a SRT-8 Dakota? That's the one that should have been done when the SRT-4 came out way back in late 2002. Even then a 5.7 HEMI would have pushed the DAK as the fastest and most powerfull mid size pickup on the planet! Now with the 6.1 425 hp HEMI it would be the boss! Hell it's lighter than the Charger/300/Magnum SRT-8's, The Dakota should replace the Jeep as the next SRT-8 vehicle. I think it would be faster then the SRT-10 Ram, I think it would knock the Viper off the most fastest Dodge catagory. So what's the deal? You can put a 4.7 in it but not a 5.7 or 6.1? Hell all the parts can be pulled off the shelf, all you have to do is trick the body out! Not that i would buy one, my money is wating for the Challenger! But some one would!

Have a good day...

It is possible as it is now. I was stationed in HI and that is all they have is E85, E89, E93. With E93 I went from 24mpg in Charleston, SC to 16mpg Honolulu. Granted some may have been all city driving but guys there said expect at least a 20% drop in mileage

Coolant over flow and power steering bleeding problem's... Can you resolved those problems? It's look like many people's having this issues right now... The engine bay is on fire! Do something please... The cars look like isn't secure, the life of several owners of SRT-4 are in danger! An explosion or serious legs burns could arise...

SRTengineers and SRTEngineer give us some feedback please! Thanks...

Not sure, I'll have to check. First guess, is that the first thing Cerebus said was "No outside conversations" and these will have to reapproved at some level. How hogh, and how long? Damifiknow

Well as long as they answer the questions I have about the Caliber SRT-4, such as:

1. If it comes out in only two months, why can't you give us the full specs (quarter mile time, trap speed, how many g on the skidpad, braking distance, price, and, oh ya, HORSEPOWER)
2. Give us the specs already! It's only two months away! Holy crap, you won't even tell us the horsepower amount!
3. There have been a few websites recently (such as Autoweek) claiming the car now only has 280 hp. Is this true?
4. Why no LSD if Autoweek is also correct?

So basically you have 2 questions.

1. Specs?
2. LSD?

Not only that but also why they have to be so secretive about it. Drives me nuts!
