hey, you said I will connect it to my existing toybox harness.. do I open up my toybox 1 and take the wiring out of it and open the new box up and transfer it over?

is the dab program all worked out yet? that's the only hold back for me.

I think we'll have you just cut the harness a few inches from the Toybox 1.0. Then strip the wires and attach to the connector or a short harness, depending what Jay thinks.

Haven't had time yet to finish it... Hopefully this weekend.

Well, probably not. The parts cost is now much higher between the new circuits, machine assembly, and the custom plastic box... So it's probably going to stay the same. However, we should be able to bring you a lot more new and useful features, for the same price!

Sounds great man.

I would offer 2 models. I like it just the way it is. There are alot of us purest when it comes to stage 3. We dont run fuel controllers, boost controllers, remote controllers, or other stuff. Maybe water injection but I would bet more of us dont have it then do.

Make your fancy one with a flux capicator in it but leave a basic Hom and Dab one for the other 70%.

Just my opinion.

Well, the reason for changing it is that it is too hard to build. Cutting the boxes by hand was driving him up the wall! We just recently switched to machine tooled boxes for the new code scrubber and the new WOT Box:

However, doing those runs required buying 500 pieces each! SO.... We figured we weren't going to get that kind of volume with the Toybox, so we said, how can we re-do the Toybox to fit into one of those boxes.

Soooo... The end result is that the new Toybox will fit in this box:
It will have one LED for HOM, one multi-function button and one LED display for DAB like this: .

So, it will be smaller, and hopefully cooler looking than the old toybox. Plus about a million times simpler for Jay to build.

All of the basic features will be there, like HOM and DAB. Plus, we're also thinking up new features that you guys can use if you want to.

Basically, we can do more stuff now that the new Toybox will be microprocessor based, instead of simple switches, resistors, diodes and mosfets. But, you can also ignore all the new features.

I don't think the price will be all that different. Mainly, its about saving Jay time...

sick idea... need to have a red option

I tried out red, green and blue LEDs and displays and found that blue was the brightest and easiest to read, especially given that we have a blue box.

Once we exhaust our supply of blue boxes I'll look into ordering multiple colors. But for now, we don't have the volume to support having color options. We have to order hundreds of these things at a time... :-)
