I think if you have something selected for the display other than DAB, a quick click will make it jump back to DAB. But, whatever. I don't think anyone uses any of the other settings... I can't imagine why you need a display indicator to tell you what gear you are in. I mainly had that in there for debugging. Or the last digit of your boost PSI. Kind of useless... hehe

So, the catch. The update adapter and software doesn't exist yet.
I know it can be done, but I'd have to do it. It would probably take a while as well...

So, the fast option is to send the Toybox in to me and I'll reprogram it. Or if you want to wait and have the option to do future upgrades (if we come out with any new ideas), then we'll make the adapter board.... hmm...

Haha, nice catch. I'll just send the Toybox back to you and give you $15.00 via paypal. Where/how should I ship it?

BTW, now that I think about it, you're right. The quick click does show the current DAB setting if you're in gear selector or psi mode. When I got the box, I had the gear selector display on for a while 'cause it looked cool to passengers to see the display blip while running through the gears. Then I realized that seeing the DAB setting was more important. I never changed to the PSI display but always wondered about it.. finally I changed to it a couple of days ago just to see how it would display and saw the single digit and thought it was pretty funny. Oh well, it'll be useful if my boost gauge and scan gauge randomly blow out the window.

Here you go:
Toybox 2.0 Code Upgrade $15 shipped

When you checkout we will email you a shipping label. Just pack up the Toybox 2.0 in a box (don't send the harness), print out the label, stick the label on the outside of the box and drop it off with your mailman or post office. I will reflash the Toybox and ship it back to you at the address provided.

Also, don't rush too much to get it in the mail. I'm not going to be able to get to this until early next week.

And I helped!

I think that it should show a "C" on the display when it is in gear mode. 0, 1, 2, 3, C. C is for custom.

I am so down for the adapter board, I want LEDs in my cluster BADLY.

If you can get 10 people lined up to buy it, then we'll probably do it.

It's hard to say off the top of my head, but since it would be a small production run, it would be hard for us to do it for less than $49 shipped.

Thanks man! Sending the money your way tonight, then I'll remove the box this weekend and ship it out for you next week.

Reasonable to me, hard sell for others. I think this will stay on the back burner for a while.

Yeah, it's hard to do new hardware. There's a big upfront cost. We need to move about 100 of any piece of hardware we do to make it worthwhile.

Hey, what do you guys think of the idea of a Valet mode? It would be some setting buried in the menu that when enabled would limit boost to DAB 0 so that your valet doesn't take your car out for a joyride when you drop it off...

I was thinking of that because I am going to drop off my car to get detailed after my clutch is fixed.... and I don't want the detailers taking it out for some racing... ;-)
