I received my Toybox 2 in the mail today. I'll probably do the install over the weekend. I was just going to screw mine into the empty spot on the left IP next to the side window vent. I figure it's kind of cool to look at and people will wonder what the hell it is!

Sounds good! Post pics and let us know what you think!

Well I have the toybox at my finger tips.
I did it this way so I wouldn't put a hole in my dash.
I think its gonna work well.

Default Question about programming the Toybox 2.0

Phrozen,
Installed my Toybox 2 today.
I have a couple of questions about programming the unit.
Do you just turn the ignition on and set it?
I thought you weren't going to do the speed dependent DAB. Is it an option (B in the menu settings) and does it run off RPM or speedometer?
Can't wait for big fun and traction in first.
Thanks

That is an awesome install! Can you email high res versions of that pic to autotrans@gmail.com?

I'd love to put that up on our website.

Yes, you can just turn on the ignition. There is a table of the menu options available here:
http://npcomplete.pbwiki.com/Toybox%20Version%202

I'll add a column of the defaults.

I know for sure the speed dependent DAB is turned on by default. You can turn it off if you don't like it.

It runs off of the RPM and speedometer. That way it can get a very accurate idea of what gear you are in. If you'd like to see it in action, you can switch the display to a gear indicator instead of DAB. It's a menu option... :-)

Let me know if you have more questions.

Just wanted to let you know I ordered the Toybox 2.0 upgrade tonight and I cannot wait for it. One of my problems I've been having at the track is..........well, for the most part I suck at launching, so I figure this would help. I'm a huge fan of the original Toybox so I think this will make me even happier.

On a side note; I have a friend that is interested in purchasing my Toybox 1.0 when I replace it and I'd like to see if I could get the PCM pins from you guys. I can splice in with regular wiring and get the wire cover on my own but was wondering how much you'd want for the few pins for the PCM. Thanks!
