we could drive water injection or an intercooler sprayer.we were actually just talking about something like that.
as far as a map/tip clamp goes i dont believe in them there is a difference between using electronics to your advantage and using a variable 2 cent resistor mounted in a job box to control your investment worth thousands
This might be out in fiction land but here's the link to a idea I posted in the WI section. HOM on S3r
I didn't say it was a good idea. Just an idea.
I think you're talking about something that is going to be just too custom and too specific to get the kind of volume we need to do a product.
However, you could use our new Toybox to automatically set HOM for you every time the car starts up if you're going to use W/I. As for the other MAP clamp stuff, I think you really need to start thinking about a piggy back or other more comprehensive tuning system to make that kind of stuff work properly.
Couldn't you just have a hot wire out that comes on when the HOM is on, then hook it to a relay inline with your water injection?
That way when HOM is on, W/I is turned on, and when it's off, W/I is off. I always thought about doing that but was to lazy to install my W/I.
Heck you can have multiple outs so the same is true for a C02 fogger, IC sprayer or other stuff. Or for the real men (Hozay comes to mind) there neon underbody lights can turn on when HOM is activated.

hahahaha that got me good!

yes we can do that
Ha. Yeah. There will be one extra output coming out. Hmm... But I'm not sure if it will drive a relay directly.
You can also get your relay drive right from the HOM led, but again, I'm not sure if there's enough current there to drive relays or if the PCM is setup to handle the inductive kick.
Relays are nasty devices. I prefer solid state switches like we use in the WOT Box. They are much nicer.
I have the current toybox and would like to know how much the new model will cost? The speed activated DAB sounds like a good idea and I will stay tuned for results when you get to testing.
I would like the new one to have a clock in it that shows the time in at least 2 different time zones.
I would offer 2 models. I like it just the way it is. There are alot of us purest when it comes to stage 3. We dont run fuel controllers, boost controllers, remote controllers, or other stuff. Maybe water injection but I would bet more of us dont have it then do.
Make your fancy one with a flux capicator in it but leave a basic Hom and Dab one for the other 70%.

Just my opinion.
Well, the reason for changing it is that it is too hard to build. Cutting the boxes by hand was driving him up the wall! We just recently switched to machine tooled boxes for the new code scrubber and the new WOT Box:
However, doing those runs required buying 500 pieces each! SO.... We figured we weren't going to get that kind of volume with the Toybox, so we said, how can we re-do the Toybox to fit into one of those boxes.
Soooo... The end result is that the new Toybox will fit in this box: It will have one LED for HOM, one multi-function button and one LED display for DAB like this: .
So, it will be smaller, and hopefully cooler looking than the old toybox. Plus about a million times simpler for Jay to build.
All of the basic features will be there, like HOM and DAB. Plus, we're also thinking up new features that you guys can use if you want to.
Basically, we can do more stuff now that the new Toybox will be microprocessor based, instead of simple switches, resistors, diodes and mosfets. But, you can also ignore all the new features.
I don't think the price will be all that different. Mainly, its about saving Jay time...
