Ok, installed mine. Everything went smooth for the most part.
Only problem that I had was trying to attach the MAP wire (I have the TCS with the 2 step so I need this wire). One my MAP Sensor I have three wires. One Orange, one black or red (this is the center wire) and one light green with red stripe. Now looking at the pinout picture it says it should be pin 1. But I am trying to figure out which one is pin 1 and from what direction should I be looking at the plug. The end that plugs into the sensor or the end that the wires are pushed into?
Sorry I just don't want to try the 2 step out and have something bad happen.

Hey what is the button on the box for though?
The MAP wire doesn't do anything right now, so you can just leave it out. Just bundle the excess wire from the WOT Box out of the way and go have fun. :-)
Thanks phrozen. I just got back from driving it (no launching from a dead stop since I was waiting to hear back about the map wire) anyway, It seems to be working. I floored it in 2nd gear and kept my gas pedal to the floor and shift from 2nd to 3rd and then 3rd to 4th gear. Only thing I think is that it might kill the power for too long because it isn't holding really any boost during that time. it drops down to probably close to 3-6 psi (hard to tell) during the shift.
But so far no gear lockout and I haven't hit rev limiter either. I don't think it will be possible to hit it. I am going to give it a try again later tonight. But so far
If the MAP wire doesn't do anything, how does the WOT box know not to engage a WOT shift when we're standing still with the 2-step engaged?
I've improved the edge detection on the clutch signal. It will only trigger on the low to high transition. That is, it will only trigger on the downward stroke of the clutch pedal, not the upward stroke. It will also not trigger if you leave the clutch down for any length of time.
As long as you have the clutch down before you go into WOT, you won't ever trigger the WOT Box on a launch.
So, I think I've fixed that problem, but let me know if you find otherwise and I'll make a software upgrade...

You may need to adjust the kill time down. The default is 350 ms. Jay said that was way too long for him and that he dropped boost while shifting. I haven't tried it on my car yet because I just got my car back on the road last week.
Try adjusting the kill time down until you don't drop out of boost during the shift.
Once I have the windows software written, you'll be able to see a log of your shift times and use that information to accurately set your kill time.
Timing adjusted, thanks, that definately helped. I set it first to 225 ms and then 200. I held more boost with the 200 ms (about 20 psi), with the 225 ms I held about 16 psi. Works just like advertised. I used it to run a skyline tonight a few times and ran him down hard each time and passed him each time while WOT shifting. I thought it would be harder to learn to do but this box makes it a peice of cake.
Although my fun had to end sometime. while racing a Evo 8 I must have blown a vac/boost line somewhere because I am only boosting 13 psi now. Plus I was throwing a code for P1190-TIP SENSOR CIRCUIT HIGH
So I will trouble shoot it tomorrow when it is light out.
Overall, great mod Can't wait to try this at the track on the 18th. Great job phrozen.
Got It Installed!!! I love is guys great product. can't wait to see what it will do at the track now. thanks again easy install and it does just what you promised.

so all the units are set up this way? i'll be using mine with the 2-step built into the msd ignition.

Yes. They are all the same. Which MSD ignition will you be using? The DIS-5? I think I need to specify how to wire it. It can get tricky, and dangerous, when working with CDI systems....
Phrozen, the combination of the WOT Box and the NDE TCS system is awesome. The shifting from 2nd gear to 3rd and 3rd gear to 4th is great. Had to lower the timing to 225 - 250 ms to get the boost to hold during shifting. Thanks for explaining that. I will get to try this out at the track on the 18th, as long as I don't have to work. Thanks again.

That's great! Glad to hear you like it. Now, if you could just help us spread the word... We need lots more publicity.
Also, if you could find some time for me to install one on my own car...
i was going to talk to Jay, but my friend has a 94 civic fullybuilt and wants a WOT box....what if anything is needed to get one hooked up and installed in his car? He has a MSD distributor and blaster coil but they are just direct upgrades from the stock coil and distributor.
