I would say do the wheel speed sensor also. Just to eliminate a 2 step from triggering a map input on the line.
Yeah, that is what I was thinking. Those who are not using a 2 step could probably go another route but yeah the speed sensor sounds like it is the best way to go for me.
I think if you're not using a 2-step you won't need the second input. You can run with just TPS and be fine.
Alternatively, I should be able to write better code to completely avoid the false trigger without the second input. I just thought of how... Anyway, I'll work on it.
This is why I put the serial port on the box. That way we can continually refine our product and everyone can reap the benefits.
so if using an EMS w/the 2 step, the mph option would be the best, no? I would probably set it to activate over 5mph so I could WOT shift 1st-5th etc....what do you think, Phrozen?

Yes, that makes sense.
But, you may not need it. I'm going to work on some code that should solve the problem without the wheel speed input. We'll keep you posted as the testing happens.

what on earth are you talking about ??lol
you mean using the ems 2 step as a wot box? that wont work because you would have to shift at that precise moment of fuel cut.its almost impossible to time that perfect.
btw...if you are wot shifting 5th gear joo got balls meng

No, he means, if you are using an EMS w/ the 2step and the WOT Box, you'll need the second input because you will be launching at WOT.
oh i somehow missed that point somewhere, the tps voltage signal can be changed to map input so in other words if you have tps voltage set to 3.3v which i believe is 8 psi on a 3 bar, it wont work until it sees that much boost.nobody is making 8 psi on their two step and if they are....whoa
jon its really weird talking to you in a thread..can we stop now

haha.
Also, you can use TPS and MAP together. MAP alone won't be sufficient. It won't be able to tell between a regular shift under boost and a WOT shift. But that's ok. We have the flexibility to do all of these things from the user interface.

i know this....would you stop talking to me in the thread
Another note: We just got boned by our assembler. Instead of holding the parts from the code scrubbers and using them to assemble the WOT Box like I asked, they shipped them all to me. So now they can't assemble the WOT Boxes until I ship the parts that they shipped to me back to them.
We've got 15 of those boards. 315 total units! They look fantastic! The soldering is perfect. And more importantly, they work!
Did I mention that blue LED is BRIGHT!
OK, now I'm going to ship the parts back to the assembler for the WOT Box and get that assembly started.
It's too bad the assembler screwed up and shipped the extra parts back to me instead of holding them for the WOT Box. Oh well. They're going to push the job forward and get the WOT Box boards here by Monday.
