Well, when I get some time I'll work on a prototype with you. I can fab you up a harness to connect to your pump and we'll see how it works.
Actually, I just looked at the schematic again, and it looks like they are doing something that isn't so bright there for the I/C sprayers. It's going to take a few parts to emulate it. Specifically the auto spray mode.
So, we'll probably need a new circuit board with another 1-2 switches...
Anyway, we'll talk.
Everyone else, don't forget the GB ends March 12th! After that the price is going up! Get your payment in now to save the $10. There are still 19 slots left for people not on the list already....
I'd say about 2-3 weeks. Basically, we're waiting for the new PCBs to come in before building more Toyboxes. The PCB will make it much easier to build, so we will be able to make more of them.
While we could continue to make them the old way, we feel our time is better used on the code scrubber right now. That product is just about ready to start shipping, so we're going to focus on that until the new Toybox stuff is here.
Do you have Stage 3 without toys?
Do you have a Stage 2 w/ toys PCM and no toys harness or bezel?
Do you have a Stage 3 w/ toys PCM and no toys harness or bezel?
Now you can add DAB and HOM with The Toybox!
Note: This is a prototype. The production units will be cleaner and neater. Also, there will be PCM pins on 3 of the wires. Those are not shown in the picture.
It is small enough to be mounted anywhere, so you can decide where you want to put it.
Operation is simple.
The red switch controls HOM. The red LED will light when HOM is engaged, just like the Mopar toys. To engage HOM you toggle the switch on and off. To disengage HOM, toggle the switch on and off again.
The yellow and green switches control DAB.
Both switches off --> DAB 0
Green switch on --> DAB 1
Yellow switch on --> DAB 2
Both switches on --> DAB 3
-------------------------------------- Update Feb 25th, 2006: Rising parts costs, the addition of the circuit board and our decision to switch to priority mail (with tracking) are forcing us to raise the price to $99 shipped.
However, to be fair, we're going to extend the original price of $89 shipped to anyone on the list plus an additional 20 people.
The catch is that you need to get your payment in before March 12th. After that date or 20 additional people pay (whichever comes first), we're raising the price to $99.
We have parts for 144 units on order. The units ordered should be built, tested and shipping by the end of March.
-------------------------------------
Installation instructions will be posted soon as well. You can expect the installation to be similar to the wiring of the Mopar toys. Just decide where you'd like to put the Toybox, route the cable from the interior of the car to the PCM and connect the wires. There are 6 wires in all that will need to be spliced or connected.
Hey Phrozen, you have me on the list as paid twice. Numbers 18 and 31. I only paid for one.

Shiz. I thought I fixed that. Oh well, I'll fix it now. It's not the real list anyway. I have a master sheet in excel with all the accounting info, addresses, etc...
Ok. I fixed it. Obvious solution, take the data directly from excel. Now the list is also sorted by date you paid, so they will ship in that order as well.
19 spots left in the group buy, since you found that error.
They do very different things and mount in different places. You will probably want the Toybox out and accessible somewhere. The code scrubber gets mounted hidden away under the dash, since you don't need to get to it often or at all really. So there's no reason to integrate them.
However, we will offer a $10 discount if you buy a premium code scrubber and Toybox at the same time.
Jay is getting the boards today. He will start building them ASAP and should have units ready to ship end of this week or early next week. He's also building code scrubbers like crazy and will have them ready to ship soon as well.
