I need a How to: wiring for dummies.
Sorry can't understand what does every letter means. I think td and cts is for the LED and RD and DSR is for the button (optional). Right?

ignore the letters.
just wire the switch and LED to the correct pins and you'll be golden.
if you look carefully you'll notice that the male plug has a 1 near the #1 pin... especially on the solder version.

pin side.
it's $2 at radio shack btw. (PN# 276-1537)
they also have a removable pin crimp version for 20cents more.

here's a shot of the solder side... but from a 25 pin version (why they don't have a shot of the 9 pin version from this angle I don't know. but you get the idea.)

if you look carefully you can see the numbers above the pins in that image.
the 9 pin is numbered also.

what's the max voltage that is output? I have a 12v light I would like to hook up - will it work or do I need a relay?

won't work. there isn't enough output current. only enough for an LED. there isn't enough power for a relay either.

you could use our nitrous cable, but that is probably more expensive then you want to spend for this.
