Just kinda curious, would a shifter with adjustable bump stops on it, that keep you from shoving the shifter too far into gear help remedy this problem. Something that keeps you from over engaging the shifter. I've seen it on B&M shifters for mustang and viper shifters.

Is this something we can look forward to as a future product? I haven't seen one yet for the SRT.

soon we will have our wot box in production but honestly you most likely broke the snap ring that holds the 3/4 synch in place.in that case nothing is really going to help.we do rebuild transmissions here though.

nah i don't think anything broke yet, still runs/shifts good, just every now and then it'll miss 3-4, only time i wot shift is at the track(for the most part),and as long as this piece coming out isn't rediculisly expensive i'll definitly get one just to be safe

Well you should have. Chuck includes his Rod Brakes on every Maddog STS that he sells. If you were looking for a stock shifter with this feature, you could order the Rod Brakes separately and modify your shifter OR I'm sure that Chuck could work something out and add them to a stock length shifter.

N2MB, Yesterday, before my shift selector broke I had zero problems with shifting. Right after I replaced my shift selector with an AGP piece, during the test drive, my third gear started grinding and it will only sometimes go into 3rd. Most of the time it just grinds and kicks it out.

Have you found an improvement on the OEM snap ring? an improved 3/4 synch.......is it even worth replacing with OEM parts?

Hey. I have my shaft and gears out but Im wondering:

-Is there a way to tell or test to see if the snap ring is busted for the 3/4 synchro without removing the gears/snap ring?
-How the heck do you remove the snap ring

Either will work for me, the 2nd is prolly better so I know for sure what is up. Thanks

you have to remove the nut which requires a special tool, the fifth gear input has to be pressed off and then you can slide 4tgh gear off and you will have access to the 3/4 synch and snap ring
