Please keep us updated on this. I'll need one by the end of April. If by chance will there be a loaner program if you run into any issues ? I'll send you a deposit to cover the whole item.
so are we saying stage 3 is programed for automatics then it should work in the pt cruiser's with automatic's?
doubtful. it sounds like they just reworked the transmission inputs/outputs for the turbo toys kit (and unfortunately left the remaining unused transmission inputs/outputs alone). If I'm not mistaken I remember some members claiming the reason Mopar didn't make stage 2/3 for the PT is because the transmission won't last with it anyway.
Actually, it looks like there might be a whole working transmission code in there. The toys kit doesn't use any of the transmission I/Os. The auto trans plugs into the C4 connector which is completely unused on the SRT4. So, I think it might be possible to use S2 w/toys or any S3 with a PT. Someone should try it, but I can't recommend it because I don't know that much about it.
Anyway! Testing results from today look great. The new code scrubber works very well and is ready for production. I will be placing an order for 100 units early next week. We will finally have a definite ready-to-ship date.
It will take about 4 weeks to get everything and then build and ship! So, expect things to start shipping.
As for the '05 question, testing on an '05 is pretty irrelevant because of the way the new code scrubber works. Basically, it will work on an '05 because I set the rules for how it works. And those rules are that it will work on any SRT-4. I do this by checking the VIN number and verifying that the car is an SRT-4. That way, the code scrubber can't be used on other cars where it shouln't be.
Anyway, It's late and I'm tired, so this may not make perfect sense. I will have more details later and a new post detailing all the features and the installation and pricing. I think you will all be pleased. :-)
I think some states allow like 3 codes to be present (other than big ones, like 2nd Cat efficiency too low) before they fail you. So if those Automatic ones are flagging, that means you would have zero leeway.
My wifes car throws a CEL/MIL everyonce in a while, and when we went to get it inspected I reset the PCM, but it still failed "O2 heater circuit" or something like that. Anyways, they passed it because it was only 1 code.
Just something to consider as the cars get older and weird CEL's start popping up that really have no affect on the operation of the car.
okay forgive the stupid question but I just want to clarify, this ONLY applies to WITH TOYS S2/3 kits right? If I go S2 w/o toys, I'm in CA, but I should be good to pass and not set this transmission CEL?

I know lots of places have been failing SRTs because of the auto matic transmission codes. It's not usually a matter of choice. The same machine that does the inspection prints the new sticker.
Anyway, I can't help you with your other CELs and codes. This only fixes the automatic transmission failure codes present in S2 w/ toys, S3 w/o toys and S3 w/ toys. No other kits to my knowledge have this problem.
However, that is a lot of cars in a lot of areas that will need our code scrubber...
I just want to say that I just got inspected here in PA on my stage 2 with toys, and the beta version of his new version of the code scrubber worked great! I got my new emissions sticker no problem!
Thanks for a great product, and I cant wait until the final version is released.
Also of note, I placed an order for 350 circuit boards yesterday. We should have them in 3-4 weeks. We will be able to ship units shortly after that, as fast as Jay can build them up, which should be very fast. These new code scrubbers assemble easily.
The price will be $135 shipped with no core charge. :-)
Plus, there will be at least one optional feature. For an additional $25 we will enable code-clearing on your unit.
The feature will work like this. If you have any stored codes that you want to clear, you will be able to do it by simply holding the button on the code scrubber for greater than 5 seconds. That means you will be able to clear codes and reset the CEL without having to use a scan tool or having to pull your battery. That also means you don't lose your radio settings and you don't have to retrain your PCM like you do when you pull the battery.
Nice, eh?
Anyway, starting next week or so I will setup a new thread with all the details, including installation instructions.
I will also be going through the list of people who have paid and informing them either how much $ they will owe prior to shipping (if they paid only the deposit) or how much refund they will be receiving.

questions?
You mean I get a better product, and money back?!?!? It doens't get any better. Well worth the wait I'm sure. Thanks for being honest with everybody and improving the product, can't wait.
