Default Fuse Box

That's what I was thinking, in the side fusebox area. Nobody would see it and it would be convient to use from there. I may have to extend the wires a bit, not sure? Thanks for the input! I'll send a picture when it's installed.

I think Jay includes like 18" of wire so that you should have no problems mounting it there..

Default Problem?

Got it mouinted in the side fuse panel area OK. Wire lengths are good as is, but I may have a problem? I put the fuse in and it was blinking then went off as it should. I was then able to turn it off and the LED went off and turn it back on, LED came on. I then held the button down for 5-10 seconds and waited for the 2 blinks. Never happened, It just stays on and it won't shut off now or do anything but stay lite. Maybe it takes awhile for the codes to scan? Any ideas?

Your key must be in the on position, but the engine can't be running in order to use the code clearing feature.

As long as you can turn it on and off and the LED stays steady on while it is on, then it should be working.

Default Strange?

It had been sitting for an hour and I checked it and the lamp is stuck on. Can't turn it off so I pulled the fuse and put back in. It started blinking as before and stopped. I was able to turn off/on. Put the key on, not running as before and held down the button for 5 seconds. It blinked twice. Now it can turn on/off. It seems OK now. Not sure why it acted strange before. I did the exact same procedure this time as the first? I saw in previous posts of a software bug. Maybe still there in a different way??

Hmm.... Strange. The other bug was very different. Well, keep an eye on it. How how is it where you are? We have seen the scrubber occasionally lock up in very hot weather...

Near Pittsburgh. Today was a high of only 70'ish. I have it off right now. Before I got to work Monday I'll turn it on and leave it that way and see how it fairs. Will keep you informed. Getting car inspected early next month. Hope all goes well. Keeping in touch. If it does lockup again is pulling the fuse the best way to re-boot?

There's no reason to turn it off. It doesn't really turn off. It just stops acting on messages and turns off the LED. The processor still runs. So, I leave mine on all the time. It bathes my left foot in blue light.

If it locks up, you can just unplug it from the harness and reconnect it. That way you don't disturb the PCM.

my newly re-flashed scrubber came in the mail yesterday, plugged it in today and woohoo no error flashes . I can test tomorrow with my scanner but I think I'll just take Jon's word for it. The evil genius of N2MB strikes again

If you've got a scanner handy, I'd test it out. I wouldn't want you to waste your time.

If you want to cut the notches and holes in the plastic yourself....

The box manufacturer machine tooled 500 plastic boxes for us, all of which are blue. We do have some black plain boxes left, but they would have to be hand cut, and I'm sure Jay is very tired of doing that!

It wasn't the blue that bothered me, it just seemed like the blue ones were the ones having issues. But, it looks like that's all cleared up now.

I just sent you an email about shipping time... just want to know before i order.

Thanks!

The problems with the new units have been long fixed now. We only had a few that slipped out before we found the problem. We have no backorders right now, so Jay should be able to ship in a few days.
