if your car is spooling near what everyone else runs then its the bigger cams that is creating this 100rpm difference. that can easly be fixed with some slight tuning of the cams
c'mon... a 1000 rpms is a big diff pimpin!
and w/ the split duration style cam, spool wouldnt even be hurting as bad as say, w/ 16's.
onthedwnlow is making full boost at 3300rpms. he's got bc3's at 0,0. and his 60-1 has a bigger wheel than my setup. right there tells me something aint right w/ me car.
it doesnt even hit. it didnt slow spool then slam to 20... it just slow spooled to 20.

Is there a way for you to swap turbos w/ someone? Just to take that out of the equation

you have to remember your cams are larger than ours so you will not spool as soon as other cams because your cam specs are great for top end.
if you wanted spool then a smaller cam would suite your need

The return of the Blue Beast Coming soon
will do that, when i get my ems in (im going to run low timing anyways).
but regardless, timing or not (people using a dtec/safc would have alot more timing advace than i would, and in theory, would run lower egt's/spool), it shouldn't be 800-1,000 rpm's off base.
gunna pm my engine builder to see if my block can get pulled out next week.
Yes you are way off the base spool time??? Something is up and you need to talk to someone about this or get another head under the car to look around a bit. I bet its some thing very simple, if not then maybe the cams are affecting the spool times. I will have a car on the dyno here in the next 2 to 3 weeks so show when it spools and how it hits when it spools.

Gears can be adjusted to make your cams smaller, unless he has something like 18's in his car the gear adjustments can be made to move the power band around.

just sayin, got a homeslice running bigger turbo, and faster spool by over 1k rpms...
If we're thinking cams here....swap in your 2.0's Mike. That'll take care of that. It sounds like your car is running fine otherwise...it might be that simple.

You're so close, dude...might as well. Either that, or there has to be some sort of crazy equation(s) to calculate all this BS so you can at least get a good theoretical base.
