Default T362 BW turbo is on the car!!!!

OMG this turbo rocks!!!!

70 AR housing, 62mm inducer and full spool at 3800 to 4000 RPM and if I brake boost the car I can get full spool at 3600 RPM or sooner. I have been working on the tune and as I get it dialed in more and more the spool seems to be getting better and better. I have to spend more time on the tune to see if I can get the 3400 to 3600 RPM spool that I was told I could get out of it.

I will post the mods up when we get off the dyno as well as some dyno charts with video.

Here are some pictures for you to enjoy.

We are now a BW dealer (not direct, just wholesaler) and we can get these turbos for $1150 retail to you. There are a ton of options for this and many other BW set ups. I will get these listed on the site here very soon. We can even get down to the 60 AR housing for the 300 series turbos if you want to have a very early spool time (we will be testing this turbo as well).

If you have any questions about this set up please ask.

Last, the power output that this thing puts out it crazy. 3rd gear is very crazy and 4th is just nuts. I am very very happy with it so far and suspect that we on the way to making our 600 WHP with this set up. Now if I just had another 1000 RPM of redline to play with....

Hmm I wonder what spool times I would get with the manifold I have and this turbo? A 3.5k rpm spool time isnt bad at all. I bet with my SCT PRP package I can get my tuner to make it spool a little quicker! Is that the DBB version or is that really even needed?

With your set up I would be willing to bet that it would spool very early. The SCT would only help with getting things to happen sooner, more updates are on the way for sure.

Info?

I have some for you....

After a few more miles of dry road and more tuning... well, its just plain scary. I am running 24 psi with no knock now and the timing is in the high teens up top. I am going to add 4 to 6 psi of fuel pressure and see where this lands me with the timing and knock. I want to make sure I keep knock at bay because we are getting a little puff of smoke (blue) between shifts. This is bad but I knew this going into putting this turbo on the car.

With that said, 116 octane with 30 psi on the stock motor and head...... built motor here I come.

Looks like the next option above the turbo you have listed is the BW-SS366-40R. It comes with a 66mm inducer & 91mm exducer rated at 82lb/min flow. It can also be converted to twin scroll applications I wonder how much more laggy this one would be over the one you have on your car now? Looks like the model you have on the car comes with a 62mm inducer & 88mm exducer rated at ~75lb/min. I in a way understand the flow rates, but I suppose until the turbo is on the car you cant tell what spool will be like.

Well when you go over there ask john whats up with the turbo if he has a status please. I am wondering what he can tell me about the one I sent him. This is the second time I blew some smoke and am assuming its the turbo again. I dont know why, but thats why I sent it to him since my egts are fine....I am guessing it is the npt fitting that goes on the turbo that it may not be the correct one. Maybe its too small and not spraying the correct amount of oil in the turbo I dont know...hope john can lemme know though.

Call me tomorrow on my cell. I have seen your calls just been super busy with things. The turbo has some debris in it but nothing that would cause oil to burn. I would be willing to bet that number 1 is starting to get weak. You do have the tools to do a leak down test correct? Let me know, and call around 10 am my time, thanks.

I have something even better. T366 with a 060 AR housing. 4 bolt to hook right up to your exsisting set up. This should be good for around 750 WHP and will not start working till you have 400 WHP. I was going to go this route but decided that I couldn't wait for the 060 AR housing..... now I wish I would have.
