Tested Wires on FTM

John Volts suggestion for the following wires

Red Wire = 12v
My Reading = 12.39v

Grey Wire = .79
My Reading = .73

Yellow Wire = 2.2X
My Reading = 4.10

White Wire = 2.2X
My Reading = 2.17

Purple Wire = 5.0

Problem is the yellow wire, you are adding a ton of fuel and causing the map to read way to high and its adding a ton of fuel. At idle your car thinks its running in boost. The yellow wire needs to read at the same or lower then the white wire. What are your FTM settings again?

What GB did you get your FTM on? I have sent you another FTM correct? If so then it has to be your settings. Call me tomorrow with car and laptop in hand so we can go over this together. I want your muilti meter there as well so we can measure the voltage on that yellow wire when we make adjustments to the FTM fuel maps.

If you pull fuel does the voltage change on that wire? Try this before you call me. It very well could be that you are set up on the wrong map signal for the input to the FTM (2.25 bar vs the 3 bar set up) that would explain the difference in voltage. I dont know why you keep having these issues, dam it.

Also I want you to turn autotune off and then tell me what the voltage on that wire is. I have an idea but I need to see if it might be the cause.

John Volts suggestion for the following wires

Just Harness without the FTM plugged in
Red Wire = 12v
My Reading = 12.39v

Grey Wire = .79
My Reading = .73

Yellow Wire = 2.2X
My Reading = 4.10

White Wire = 2.2X
My Reading = 2.17

Purple Wire = 5.0
My Reading = 5.0

Plugged to the FTM and it being Zero'd out and 5.0 clamp (autotune off on all these tests)

Red wire = 12.28

Grey = .73

Yellow = 2.18

White = 2.18

Purple = 5.0

Plugged to FTM and taking 6% away with a 4.85 clamp (Autotune off)

Red = 12.26

Grey = .73

Yellow = 2.05

White = 2.18

Purple = 5.0

Adding 6% fuel with a 4.85 clamp (autotune off)Red = 12.25

Grey = .73

Yellow = 2.32

White = 2.18

Purple = 5.0

I didnt check ground, didnt know how to...

Car is running good.....upgraded the WGA spring you sent me and wow, car holds a lot more boost to redline.....Got to get my new boost gauge installed and I'll be able to start pulling fuel out.....with it in the 10's the car pulls strong, I can only imagine when it gets tuned and the W/I turned on...

so i did a fe runs tonight with a budy's scan gauge, intake temps at normal driving were 64f, cant recall at wot.

LTFT: 13-17
Timing add: 29 at redline
retard:6 @ redline (2* as soon as i go wot)
afr: 11.8-12.2

after i played with the w/i : start @ 4psi, full @ 8psi

timing add: 32 @ redline
retard: 4 @ redline

-should i richen it up a little to get rid of that knock?

my mods are pretty much all bolt ons, except ported manifolds, still stock internals, and w/i (50/50), stg 2 inj, spike 23psi hold 15 to redline.

any advice?

Try an 80/20 mix on the WI and go from there. Sounds like your car is running like a beast.
