Yeah, he connected to the wire that was dark blue/orange, is that right, or is it supposed to be dark blue/red? I'm all confused now, heh.
Dude at this point i think you would be better off printing the instructions and taking the car to a good shop. Have then fix all the previous crap that didn't get done right and ask your self in the future. If i am going to install this part on my car, because i love my car, shouldn't i do it right. And if that means finding help from people who do know that is cool. Good luck man and i hope you get the install all sorted.

I trust the guy that did it, he was just in a hurry, I'm trying to get him to help me fix it tonight, he used to be an installer at a local autoplace that specialized in dsms, and a bunch of other turbo imports.

Wow, long day? Randy you know how much time I will spend with customer to help them figure something out buy now. He had someone help him and that person dropped the ball (just a little) and with that you get some issues most the time. I do agree on the "love" for our cars and getting it done right but that doesnt always happen the first time. If anyone knows that I do (remember the test pieces that we were trying for the FPR mod?). This thread is about helping people fix the FTM's when they run into a problem. Your advice was the best yet but I need to figure out if it was a FTM issue or an install issue before I sent the dogs on him.
John's right, thanks again for all the help, I'm off to go change my plugs now since they got fouled out running so rich, then hopefully everything will be back to normal. Note: c1 is the bottom connector, lol.
I did not mean for it to come off as "sicking the dogs on him" and yes i know how much time and help you are to people. I was just stating that it doesn't matter if it is a $20,000 part or a $50 part making sure it is installed right the first time is worth it. I don't want to see him get stranded and not make it to work, or have the car go lean and blow. I just wanted him to think about that he loves his car, wants to go faster, he should also want it done right.
I hate to say it but anyone who hookes up wires for your engine managment and doesn't make sure they are right and soidered correctly is not doing you any favor. $20,000 car+$350 tuning mod+hurried unsure install=problems. Glad you guys got it taken care of and like i said the first time. I hope you get it all figured out and taken care of.
