Yeah that thing makes tapping into wires very easy. Just put the wire in and squezze the handles and it seperates the insulation without damaging the wire at all.

The one I have just cuts, and strips the wires, but it's a gun shaped one, like the ones you can buy in crutchfield.

Well, finally got mine installed yesterday, but noticed if im driving and turn the ac on, the compressor will kick in, and the car will start stuttering and not accelerate, but it only happens sometimes? Confusing the fuck out of me. Anybody else have something similar happening?

Never happend before the install? I would double check the wires to make sure you didnt tap into the AC clutch controll or something like that.

It never happened before the install, and ill have to check, i know one of the wires we werent positive about, ill double check it, and get back to you about it.
Edit: i checked all the connections, and everything was right, its almost like the computer is trying to adjust it, and relearn i guess, it worked fine yesterday morning, but started acting up later in the day. I forgot to add that i havent had a chance to install the update, would that matter?
Ok, I finally got a chance to dl the upgrade zip file, and tried to call you, but no answer. I'll try again tomorrow, also does the computer have to be hooked up to the car to upgrade it? Let me know.

Thanks for all the help.
Lets try that again tomorrow. Sorry about the file not working for you. I am waiting for the file to show up right now and when I get it I will send it to you asap, thanks.

It's no big deal, I'll call you tomorrow about the same time. I'll also try to datalog the ac thing if I get a chance.
Ok, got the ac problem datalogged, BUT it for some reason stopped logging as soon as the ac compressor kicked on, you can see the dip in the AFR, then it goes back up, I tried to rev it up a few times to show what the AFR does, but it didn't log that for some reason.
and here's the link to dl all the files I have: dyno 1, 2, and 3 are from this weekend, the one with yesterday's date(11.8 autotune) is from last night when I did a 3rd gear pull to log the AFRs, and the omfgwtfac is what the ac does.

Ok you are wired into the wrong wire. If the FTM freaks out when the AC comes on your are either wired into it or have a ground wire issue that hooks into the PCM. There are wires that go to the PCM to controll the AC compressor. I hate to do this but you have to check your wires again. The reason I say this is because there is no possible way that the FTM could be getting affected by the wires that you hook into unless the PCM is back feeding the wires some how. If need be you can pull off the power and ground and hook them up to the battery for a test to see if it is still messing up when hooked up to the battery when the AC comes on. Let me know the results of that test, thanks.

Alright, I'll try rerouting the power and ground and see what that does. If the in cabin grounds suck, could that cause the problem? I did a quick job when I wired up the zeitronix ground, and maybe that could effect it?
Dammit, now I'm at my gf's house, I go to leave, the car starts for half a second, then dies. Check engine light comes up P0107 I pull the fuse to reset the comp, same thing, still the code. Any ideas? If I can't get it fixed in the morning before work, I'll have to tow it home, fuck. I haven't changed any of the wiring yet, btw.
check the conection at the FTM make sure that all the wires are in the connector all the way.
They are, I think I know what the problem is, when we were installing the power wire to C1, my friend said something about the wire for the pin number wasn't red, more orange, or something like that, I'll check it when I get home. Also, the ground wire when I installed my zt2 isn't soldered, just wrapped, and taped. I need to fix that too, then hopefully my problem will be solved.
