Thumbs up Everything Is On The Car!!

I finnaly put it all on. SST, ported mani, and 3"O2 housing. EGT's are way lower than before. PTB is at a minimum. But man doing all those pieces all at once is probally the closest to hell you can get.LOL. I have never done a turbo swap b4 and ran into some unexpected problems. Let's put it this way. Labor Day for me was full of nothing but hard labor.LOL Anyways, SST fit nice, looked nice, as well as the rest of the pieces. Am still on heat cycle 2. Can't wait to slam it down. Thanks PTP!! So the real question now is?????How do you become a crew member????

How is it driving now? You should have all the heat cycles done by now.

Can't tell yet as far as boost goes. I forgot to locktite the manifold bolts so they vibrated loose causing the gasket to leak. Good thing i spotted it before the gasket got shot or warped something. I used thread lock gel maximum streghth on the bolts today. But it was only rated up to like 350 degrees. Will this hold?? I know back there it gets to 1000 on my gauge. What locktite number are people using?? Any help will be useful. Thanks.

The gel seems to hold up well to the heat. some harder driving today, and no movement on the bolts it seems. But I believe I did something wrong with the install. I put the gasket that comes with your O2 housing in between the manifold and housing, and reused the stock downpipe gasket. I was super pissed off at the time I did it so didn't think twice about it. Rage will make you forget!! Anyways, the 3" gasket that came with it is in between the housing and mani. I know that it was intended for the downpipe, and the housing will meet the manifold bare with some copper gasket spray on there. My questions to you are. Will it hurt to keep the gasket in between the housing and mani?? Can I just tighten it down and leave it?? Or should I change it out?? I know the heat will eat it. But can't I just tighten it down after a few heat cycles?? It is just a pain to get under that thing. Also, how do I get another one of your downpipe gaskets?? Thanks. I need all the info I can get

the gasket will porally blow out eventually, ide get under there now while its easy to get the bolts out and just pull it out and spray some of the copper spray gasket up there and ull be all set, you dont even have to take off the 02 housing from the downpipe, just pull the hotside pipe off the turbo, the brackets off the 02 housing, and push the lower heatshield up out of the way towards the top and that should allow plenty of room.

more or less do it the way you would normally do a 02 housing install but dont bother unhooking the 02 from the downpipe cuz you dont have to take the 02 housing out, all you need is enough room to get the gasket out and spray some of the sealer up there and ur good to go "does the gay taco bell hand thing" haha

Meth must be amazing with this set-up. Anyone out there running meth with the SST?? Once that is on then I will increase boost safely. For now running a safe 20 psi to 18 is smokin the tires all day.
