John, seeing alot of good things being said about these clutches you are selling. Only a few things I would like to ask. First off, a saw a few people said that there were some issues that had to be worked out but you took care of them and all worked out for the better. Just wanted to know what kind of things these were? Installation, fitment, performance, etc....

Second thing is which of the two below would you say would be my best option?

Stage 3 will increase the torque load by 50% comes with Feramic full face lining on the flywheel side and a "Medium Metal" content Organic lining on the pressure plate side. This combination runs cooler and significantly extends clutch life. Best option for the big turbo under 500 hp choice or your stock turbo on n2o. $529.00 + shipping (call or PM me)

Stage 4 will increase the torque load 60 to 70% it comes with a full Feramic face on both side and is designed to deliver maximum torque to the street and strip driven car. With Feramic on both sides of the disc, the clutch delivers a more positive engagement. Because Feramic clutch material displaces heat extremely fast it will give you maximum clutch life and a consistent feel each time you shift. This will meet any big turbos needs up to 600 hp. $579.00 + shipping (call or PM me)

My total goal for the car would be about 450 hp/500 tq. That would be with the E1 turbo, S2 no toys, and nitrous (later on will probably do a 75 shot). I do not want to have to buy a new clutch later one due to under-estimating my power. Right now without nitrous my goal is 350-375 hp. I was at 342lbs of tq with just the stocker turbo and S2 kit. I expect I will be closer to 400 tq now and I want a clutch that will handle that kind of power plus the nitrous later.

The money isn't that big of difference between the two since I was easily looking at the ACT 6 puck clutch that Das and Vector were selling (about $625 I think). I just want to know whic of yours would be best suited.

I have some of the money together now but will have the rest next month.

Thanks man, and good job on having a clutch feedback thread. Very helpful in narrowing down which venders/clutches to even consider.

$600 with the modular set up and $975 for the aluminum option and 12 point ARP bolts for the flywheel. This is if you pick it up from me. Shipping normally adds $55 to the order.

Problems that we have had,
Stage 1 clutch 0 problems
Stage 2 clutch 1 problem (out of 7 units) and it was a PP issue being out of balance. Warranty cluch was sent.
Stage 3 clutch 2 problems (out of over 40 units) and both were out of balance issues with one having a PP issue as well. Both had warranty units sent out.
Stage 4 clutch 1 problem (out of over 20 units) clutch material was coming apart on disk (over 600 HP and we are going to see if there is anything that can be done to keep this from happening again). Replaced with a stg 5 clutch for testing.
Stage 5 clutch 0 problems. This is the first stage 5 that we have sold and we are looking to get it to hold over 700 WHP. If it does we will be the only people that have a direct bolt in that can take that much power.

Now the out of balance problems have been resolved and we are doing extra work to make sure that they stay put.

Now your choise should be the stage 3 clutch and since Brad from Real Tune has one of our stg 3 clutches we will know very soon if it can take the hit of the E1 and the PTP on max boost/tune. 1 week and we should have the results.

Awesome. I am sure now of which one I am going to go with then. Thank you very much for sharing that information about the problems. That on top of your awesome customer service, speed & reliability with product shipment, and a clutch that should handle everything I am going to throw at it and still feel like stock helped make up my mind. I will be incontact with you in about a month John when I have the money together.

You got one. We have several that are getting tested right now so we can really put them to the test. I will be spraying a stage 3 clutch this month with a 100 shot, SS turbo and ported head with mixed and matched cams. So that should be the real test for the clutch. Stage 5 is getting tested this month as well.
