Good to hear the results. Waiting like a kid in a candy store.

Your stepping up? Must be the early x-mas present from you other half. Let me know so I can make sure that I have one in stock, thanks.

700+ miles now after some Thanksgiving driving. Still feels good. I'm being a bit paranoid and probably will start doing second gear pulls by 1,000 miles. Until then, easy in every gear but third.

800+ miles.

One thing I wanted to note...it seems after longer drives (like an hour or more), when I'm letting the car cool down...the clutch seems to make a kind of chattering noise. It isn't really loud or anything, but it's definitely noticable. It seems to go away when the clutch is depressed. I know this could be throw-out bearing related, but I had a brand new one installed with the clutch.

Is this normal for new clutches?

After normal driving around town and such, it doesn't make the noise.

It is common on our cars to have some noise from the tranny when warm. Its the floating input shaft on our tranny that makes the noise.

Good deal...I remember reading about it, but wanted to be sure. Otherwise, the clutch has performed flawlessly...and grips very well in third. I still can't wait to try it out in the other gears.

And for anyone still on the fence about who their new clutch should come from, John was a great help. Easy to get ahold of, very informative and available for further help. The shipping was also fast, despite the holidays....AND when he thought it was going to be delayed because of the holidays, he called me right up to let me know and apologize.

Give him your business...you won't be sorry.

5000+ miles on my stage 3 with the Al flywheel. No clutch issues at all. I took it easy for 800 miles and then have thrashed it since. This is my daily driver and I put 500+ miles per week on her. I do have a bit of a 'chunk' when shifting 3-4 at 6k rpm. I think that is a tired trans now that I have >60k of hard driving on the car. Anyway, the closing I come to a pure power shift, the mildier the clunk. Only do this at the track anyway

1,100+ miles on mine....still doing third gear pulls...I've done one or two second gear pulls, but with all the rain...I just fly all over the place (EVEN on the friggin' freeway).

Needless to say, I'm back to third gear pulls, haha. In 1,100+ miles, I've only done probably...30-40, or so. Hopefully that's enough. I've been as nice as possible to her.

Sounds great guys. Great job on the break in period, it will last a very very long time for you.

Definitely grips better than stock. It's even smoother, to an extent. No real drivetrain noise I'm aware of. The only time I had any was at about..500-600 miles when I had been driving through the mountains for a couple hours. Lots of up shifting and downshifting. Since then, I don't think it makes any loud or noticeable chatter...and even when it was, I couldn't FEEL a difference in shifting and grip.

I plan to keep doing third gear pulls...and try to get in some second gear pulls up until 1,500 miles...then I'll drive it normal.
