What are the advantages to getting the aluminum flywheel? I know the car will rev quicker, but will that really help in the 1/4?

Yes it will. Talk with Bacardi DWB and he will tell you his impressions of it.

John, the S3 clutch just arrived. Looks good man. The USPS really beat up the package though. The clutch was the only thing in the package right? 1 peice.

Just want to make sure nothing fell out. that thing is heavy as hell. It will have to wait until after March to install it since I am moving here in about a month and have to bank as much money as possible and since I am probably going to pay someone else to do the install.

But I will let you know my impressions when I get it installed. Thanks again man.

i have had the aluminum flywheel for a long time now and there was a guy i used to race 2tirefire on the freeway and we mod for mod about the same except I had the aluminum flywheel. we were neck to neck until we hit 4th gear and its like i hit nitrous. i walked away from everything in 4th gear. also you can tell big time on the dyno with how fast it runs thru the dyno. hard to explain but john (ptp) was sitting right there and his exact words were "holy shit that was fast" it seriously went thru the third gear like it was spinning 1st gear on the pavement

ok, well there has to be some give and take. The RPM climbs much quicker now, but how does that effect your launch? If you think about there can be too much of a good thing at a certain point. I guess you have to decide between the lower gear boost/traction VS top end speed.

yes it does take a little more rev's to get off the line but if you get a larger throttle body its just like stock getting off the line.

Yes but there should be a T/O bearing as well. If you didnt get it with it then I will send another one. Name is all I should need and we will be good to go (sorry I should know your name by now but the sign ons always screw me up).

The long stroke of our motors make up for it. There is already a lot moving in our motors but having the ability to remove weight with the long stroke of the motor really just makes it a ++ with no negitive. It will take a little more to get it moving but nothing that will be a detriment on the track.

Nope, if it is this little round thing with like a plastic design thing on one side and has two little clips on the sides of the plastic part then I got it. It was buried all the way at the bottom of the box under the packaging. If that isn't it then it didn't arrive.

sorry for the "technical" terms, since I have never looked at a clutch or a T/O bearing. LOL This will be the first. Awesome man. I left you + feedback for yet another great product and shipment.
