I'm glad yours doesn't leak; good for you. Hundreds of others have leak free ones, too; however, I am not going to stick with O-ring upon O-ring when there's a vendor that offers an actual SPACER. I do not see any throttle body spacers to be a plethora of gaskets with a claim of "well they don't leak." I find this more detrimental, however, since we're talking about your oil system.

I'm glad other vendors are bringing DCR exclusives to the table, most of them improved much. Now I'm even T'd that I have the DCR oil pump when I find out there in fact HAVE been failures and their 100% success rate is simply bs.

ok... i might be a little jealous because the price dropped...

im sorry, rasp could you elaborate on the dcr oil pump failures? I knew that his option B is far from "unbreakable" as i saw one break right in front of me and on camera(Darrell said that because 3 things happened at once it was some catastrophic event....uh huh, and still charged the guy for new parts all while selling some new modification as well)....

How many have you seen go out that are directly attributed to just the oil pump?

so with this big filter kit, do you have to add more oil than the 5 quarts the car used before?

Mine is sealed tight.

... and do we really need studs for little bolts that are torqued to 10ish ft/lbs??

I have gotten a few PM's of leaking units and have worked on 2 cars with them leaking. There are a few other here that are claiming to have leaking units as well. Its not a big leak mind you, just a drip every so often. I made this kit with the idea that even a little drip is a bad thing.

I would be pissed. Why does he (DCR) have to drop prices when someone comes out with something better? I mean he is "DCR" people will still pay the outrageous prices just because of the name. All he is doing is upseting people when he does this, DCR if your reading this quit trying to compete with the little guy. You are better then that.

How many have you seen go out that are directly attributed to just the oil pump?

There have been 2 known DCR oil pump failures, even though they claim a 100% success rate. One of the guys' who's pump failed is a mod in the Rage-Tek forums. They pulled his motor apart and found the DCR pump had failed, and he replaced it with a Mikronite processed Rage-Tek pump. Apparently visual inspections of DCR's gears compared to the Micronite processed gears is like day and night, and Mikronite is superior.

Another guy's failure was attributed to a lot of KR, so that's understandable. I heard this from Aaron. No pump will stay alive if you run the car hard for a long time on a ton of knock. Just ain't gonna' happen.

Now the DCR pump is a fantastic pump and is definitely much stronger than the OEM pump, but Darrell's comments that it has a 100% success rate are simply untrue.

I PM'd everyone but two the tracking info for their big filter kits. I didn't have the forum names of the other two, so if you didn't receive a PM from me with tracking please let me know so I can get that to you, Thanks

Heather

Nevermind, I figured out who the other two were, had to go through eight pages to find them but they should have their tracking numbers now too
