Why? They are dropping there's to beat our price when we have the better kit. I will have another offering but at $49 shipped that about as good as its going to get. If DCR wants to get into a price war with me thats fine, but the kits are way different then what DCR has to offer and I am willing to bet that they change from the bolts over to studs and nuts after this as well. That will just confirm that my kit is better. I will however offer another filter for the kit (so you have a spare on the shelf for your next oil change) for another $10.
So for $59 you get 2 filters and the big filter kit, does that sweeten the deal a little better for you? Saves you $4 on buying your next filter.
Agreed. Lowering the price of these now would seem somewhat silly. If DCR's kit also had a machined spacer then that'd be a different story, but since yours is still superior in the hardware it contains, lowering the price to combat $40 would be pretty silly at this point.
Now what are these for? Does it help lower the temps or filter better? My oil never goes over a 500 miles if even that and I use Royal purple/ Am I missing something? What would this do for me?

It takes load off the oil pump gears. Thus allowing free HP (not enough to measure I am sure) and more oil to the motor. For you application its perfect, one will be getting shipped with your rewire kit, if you get what I mean (don't send any money). Thanks.

Yes it would and I even thought about the initial price drop to be serious. But the additional filter for $10 should sweeten the deal for those that want to get something additional.
We are not here to market "others products" if can make it then I will but I always put a little effort into it. If changes can be made then so be it, lets make them if it makes for a better product for the end user. I hope that everyone can see that this is not a copy or a remake of the DCR kit, this is our kit and we took the time to make it worth of putting the PTP name on it.

Whatever the HP3001 K&N is that that is the Napa replacement (Napa should be able to cross this for you).
I would have to say it will work on all 5 of your cars, maybe?

damn 2 sst's...2 SB stg 3 clutches...ported manifold...charge pipe...and a slew of other misc shit(all in the past 10 monthes) and I cant be a free test mule.... jk ill buy when my fucking car turns over

I think its funny that now all of a sudden he can offer both types(nuts and bolts or studs...and a spacer or just o rings) but theres no difference in performance yet he will start to knock off the knock of guys modification. And for all of you that are remaining faithful to X vendor/company regardless of price, you're not going to personally gain anything from it. The vendors complaining about copying each other....fail. It's American business and economics and SRTForums is certainly not exempt from it.
