Luckily I have been able to figure out who sent money for the big filter kits based on your screen names, which you did happen to include in your paypal. Now what are these for? Does it help lower the temps or filter better? My oil never goes over a 500 miles if even that and I use Royal purple/ Am I missing something? What would this do for me?
please tell me the bigger filter being used is a common size. if it happens to match the Fram PH16 or NAPA 1058 filters I'll love you to death. would this also work on a PT Cruiser 2.4L NA engine as well? If it did I could make all 5 of my cars have the same damn oil filter!
Whatever the HP3003 K&N is that that is the Napa replacement (Napa should be able to cross this for you).

the spacer is a good idea, but as far as the bolts 'stretching,' they're only torqued to 10ish ft/lbs.
it would seem that if the (3) gaskets of the dcr kit are aligned properly and in good condition, the likelihood of a leak would be minimal.
at any rate, mine's not leaking.
Very true. The factory gaskets are just a leak waiting to happen because o-rings never like to seal on top of another o-ring. The 10ish ft pounds are for sealing one gasket, not 2 or 3. So if you have to put 20 ft lbs now on those bolts whats going to happen? I would hate to see anyone strip out there pan because of $5 in studs and nuts. $5 mistake cost you $180 for a new pan.
I see DCR has dropped their filter kits to $40....anything being done here?
Why? They are dropping there's to beat our price when we have the better kit. I will have another offering but at $49 shipped that about as good as its going to get. If DCR wants to get into a price war with me thats fine, but the kits are way different then what DCR has to offer and I am willing to bet that they change from the bolts over to studs and nuts after this as well. That will just confirm that my kit is better. I will however offer another filter for the kit (so you have a spare on the shelf for your next oil change) for another $10.
So for $59 you get 2 filters and the big filter kit, does that sweeten the deal a little better for you? Saves you $4 on buying your next filter.
