Question Will I gain anything?

I just got my new Exhaust Depot Wuss. It's a wonderful piece of equipment. Exactly what I was looking for. A nice Direct fit with cast end tanks:

I found a brand new one that a member was selling and since Exhaust depot stopped doing them, I jumped on it.

I didn't buy it for my stock setup (CAI and BOV) but for the Stage 3 that I got on order (god knows when it will arrive). But now I'm wondering if I'll see any gain by installing it now. I know that because of their bar and plate conception makes them flow less effectively then the tubes and fine stock one.

Will I still see some gain by instally it now?

Thank you.

I'd say you should feel a small gain. Where it will really shine whether you are stock turbo or S3 is in the heat soak department. The stock IC tends to heat soak pretty quick. If you have a scangauge you can measure IATs and see what happens to the stocker after 3 or 4 highway pulls.

I have the same intercooler and yes it makes a good difference. Very noticable. Do a cfew hardruns and than get out of the car and feel the hotside (HOT!) Then feel the coldside ( Very cold).

Great choice!

Thanks, I chose it because of the end tanks. Everybody is praising the PTP and AGP but the cast end tanks got to be better then a simple pipe throwing air in a box.

Thank you.

it may FLOW very slightly less efficiently, but it will COOL tons better than the stocker could ever dream of.

The thing is installed! I had a bit of trouble removing the stock one but the wuss got in easily.

I love how it looks. Kind of stock, but with a little eye candy.

I'll see tomorrow if I feel any difference.

if you have a wideband already, you are going to see your a/f ratios shoot through the floor. when i installed my spearco direct fit, my a/f ratios went from 11.5 to less than 10.0 by only installing the IC.

Why? Cooler air is more dense. With the same amount of fuel, I should be running leaner.

you are right, but the computer controls how much fuel is put into the system via IATs. you throw an IC on and the computer sees really cold air, it is going to dump fuel. i had my stg2 injectors on before i did the swap and i didn't change the boost at all, so that might be why mine did what it did. yours may be fine since you still have the stockers in but who knows. keep us updated, and if your a/fs go lower that means you can only do one thing, TURN UP THAT BOOST BABY!!!!!WOOHOO!!!
