If someone posted a log using 'Engine run Time' then I could see how diablo sport puts that in the logs and use that as a first choice of columns to use for time for diablo logs. I can make a change like that in minutes and push it out. It will auto update next time you start the app after I make that change.
Nice! Hopefully someone steps up with a log. My car is in storage.

Kansas City eh? Nice. I am only 25 miles south of KC. Might have to try this out.

Stupid auto correct made my username 'barn hill' instead of 'bbarnhill' I live in Canada, our winters and road salt are hard on cars. I rather have a beater, especially since I have no use for power in those months anyways. Last edited by Crazyced; 01-07-2013 at 02:37 PM. |

I downloaded Virtual Dyno but it doesn't list the SRT-4 for Dodge. Only the Challenger and Viper.
Edit: Tried with the Plymouth Laser for the heck of it and changed the data I could (tires, weight, final drive, etc) and it gave me 523hp in 4th. hehehe Last edited by Crazyced; 01-07-2013 at 04:50 PM. |

Ok, I looked around for specs and created my own custom car.
Here's what I ended up with, for those who want to play with it: ![]() It came up with 394whp and 411wtq. Quite a bit closer now. EDIT: The gear ratio I used were rounded. So I changed them for the real one (I think): Quote:
Gear Ratios
1 3.647:1 2 2.045:1 3 1.367:1 4 0.947:1 5 0.756:1 Final drive : 3.526:1 And that boosted the result to 417whp and 434wtq and climbing (my log stops at 5230rpm, I should try with 3rd). Last edited by Crazyced; 01-07-2013 at 07:58 PM. |

Notes:
- Doesn't work well with srts that have high horsepower. The slightest bit of wheel spin will reflect negatively on your chart. - KNOW your car's weight. 100lb weight difference can affect your hp a generous amount. - Have a flat road. Wavy roads affect the load, and thus affect hp. -Have a wide sample. (ie; 3000-6000...and not say 5000-6000). I think a short sample will be largely affected when utilizing the smoothing factor function. 1 log used of my 3rd gear when I had a 6262 netted me 80hp...that's close to 600 off from what it should've been, That's with dr's on*To log 4th gear, where I wouldn't have had traction problems, would be extremely unsafe on public roads given the rpm range I would've needed. Cool tool to play with on cars where traction isn't a problem, though.

Here's what I got using 4th gear from a 1/4 mile run. ![]() Overall it's pretty close. 3rd gear give me weird results, most likely because of wheel spin. I also noticed that switching from 2900lbs to 3000lbs gains me 11whp and 12wtq. I think 2900 is more accurate though (from what I read). |

Wheel spin will definitely cause spikes in the graph. It assumes that there is no drivetrain slippage be it clutch, tires or etc.
Are those SRT4 specs valid above? Are those stock numbers for an SRT4 as I can add the data pretty quickly to support SRT4s given the info. |

Hey bbarnhill glad I could get you in on this. Im going to try out your progrma as soon as I get a chance. My buddy is running it for his wrx and he said he absolutely loves it. Are you going to update the program to have the srt4 as an actual option in the droo down?
