stock turbo need a boost controller?

im new to turbos sorry guys, got this car and already is stage 2 but has stock turbo. Do i need a boost controller or not for stock tubro? the guy has a greedy on there and took it off but left line in dash. He replaced it with a manual one from a evo... WTF! im a bit confused.... another guy tells me know and was driving it and that evo one was spiking to 20psi so he took it off. I adjusted the wastegate down some only boosting at 10psi now. But do i need to get a good controller ASAP or can i just adjust with the wastegate?

jus adjust the wga, with a boost controller it spikes the turbo way too high

My boost controller cylinoid went out a friend adjusted my wastegate so it is really spiky now. i bought a manual boost controller and dont know how to hook it up, i need help what should i do ?
should i adjust the waste gate again or maybe i am hooking the boost controller up wrong.It is a tomei manual boost controller it has 5 settings 1-4 run 13psi and spike to around 15psi and 5 is full boost. What am i doing wrong ?

whats confusing me is there are 3 ports on my MBC and it is a Tomei it has 5 settings that i am having a hard time figuring out. Any help would be cool.
