So yea, i pretty sure its somewheres on here, but i'm a bit lazy to search. so i just wanted to ask. I would like to jump straight to a Stage 2 Turbo, seeing that its only 500 bux more w/o turbo toys. and i can always add that later, so heres the question. what is everything i need to change? first i'm going to get a 3"down pipe all the way back so i dont have to worry about air flow through there, but dont know what brand or which one sounds good. any tips on that would be helpful as well.
learn more about cars................
1st stage 2 is not a turbo kit.
2nd u cant always add toys later.
3rd a 3in. down pipe goin all the way back is purty kustom.
4th just wait a while and talk to guys on here before you go to serious(like stage 2) do some exhaust mods and intake mods.

Reason: i suck at spelling
First off, unless you get a used S2 w/toys PCM but no toys you can't add toys to a S2 no toys PCM. They are not the same PCM. The S2 w/out toys does not have the extra port on the PCM to connect the Toys option to.
So you have to decide which route you want to go before you buy. If you get new the toys option comes with the toys PCM. If you get the no toys option then you can't add on later.
Second, exhaust. My friend has an Exhaust Depot 3 in catless TBE and it sounds great. I have a Needswings Downpipe with a cutout and the stock cat back. sounds ok but it is loud. Get annoying sometimes but then I just close the pipe and it sounds fine for long distance driving.
I would say to looking into exhaust depot or into MaxxFab. Both are good supporting companies on the forums.
ok... i didnt know that about the toys. thanks for telling me. Now i am not going too drastically by jumping to a stage 2... i dont see the point of a stage 1 if a stage 2 is just alittle more. i'm asking what is everything that needs to be changed so i can mark a list and slowly upgrade the parts and then put on a stage 2, that way i have no problems. i'm asking to make sure that everything i read goes with those who actually have stage 2's or 3's or whatever.
IMO, the best combination would be S2 (with or without Toys). Depends on if you are going to run race gas, meth injection, and/or go to the track. If you answer "no" to these then don't bother spending the extra money for toys. It will be a waste. Get a Forward Motion wga to replace the S2 wga. Holds boost much better and the part throttle boost is very very minimal.
You do not need anything else other than S2 to support S2. It is a complete bolt-on and go mod. It comes with everything you need. Wga, PCM, MAP sensor, TIP sensor, and injectors. Everything is easy to install. You can do it in your garage or driveway.
Now if you want to maximize the most out of S2, get a 3" TBE to include the 3" O2 housing and meth injection, and wideband since you will need to know where you are a/f wise. A larger intercooler wouldn't hurt either but it isn't necessary.

Funny....
Realistically, look at supporting mods as well and learn a little more about your systems first. Stage 2 THRIVES off of a 3 inch exhaust, so you'll need that. No a full body downpipe... Look at maxxfab for an o2 housing and a downpipe at the minimum. There's no better quality part. You don't need to worry about the intake, it will hold you fine on a stage 2. I made the noob mistake and bought a cold air when I could have better spent the 240 buckos. As stated above, look into a wideband O2 setup. Stage 2 runs very rich, so you'll want to get a Map Clamp/SAFC/DTEC/SCT as well to lean it out. See: Tuning. Also what tuning pertains to on our cars. There's a rough start mate... Do some major reading in the performance section and what's hot on the active topics. Ask serious questions and assume nothing. Nobody gets made fun of when they're serious and they've done reading. Search first... ask questions later.

from my understanding the toys kit from n2mb only works with s2 with toys pcm and all stage 3 pcms. The stage 2 without toys pcm do not have the extra connector needed for the toys.
