Default Stage 1 PCM Questions.

First would like to say hello to everyone here. I am new to the forum. Been reading on here trolling around for about 3 days. Learned alot already. Not new to Turbo just new to SRT4. Picked up my 04 from the original owner with 80K miles. No issues nice car all around.

That brings me to this question. If I use a stage 1 pcm will that eliminate the downstream O2? Any other things it would eliminate the possibility of throwing codes? I don't plan on modding it out alot really wanted to do a full exhaust and get rid of the Cat. But since I am in Houston they plug in to verify no codes and all readiness monitors. It would seem like the stage 1 pcm would be the easiest way to go so I don't have to worry about this.

Correct if I am wrong. Thanks!

Save your money, keep the stock ECU. Just do the mod:

HOW-TO: Non Fouler Mod

A custom tune can remove the check engine light for it however it may not pass inspection (nor will the S1 PCM). The mod works just fine.
