i made alot of passes with my sst which where about stg3 no toys numbers and it never slipped not even on slicks. I put the S3D on took it out on the street and it slips BAD in 4th the rpms go from 3000rpms to 6000 in a blink of the eye and the car just dont move it sucks
it might have had simular HP, but i bet the S3 has a shit ton more TQ
Yea, I am thinking I will get about 1 month total too with the new setup, but I am on s2, that combined with the stock s3 wga will only give me 17-18psi at redline, so i might be ok. I will get the agp wga, but NOT before I get the same clutch, ACT 6 puck. Then comes the 75 shot
Should be fun tho!! Going be so damn hard not to hit the spray, I will have the whole kit installed by next week, just no clutch to hold it, DAMNIT!
I'm stage 2 also, but no longer on pcm control. Dude, our setups are really really similar. Do you know that 75 shot is gonna net you more than 75 whp? If you make 340 whp on the stage 3 turbo setup off the spray, you should land around the 420+ hp range. Have you done anything to prep your motor for that? I hear the oil circulation needs attention at that level.

I know a 75 shot usually nets around 100hp, but wasn't aware of the oiling issues, i thought the chain removal was for added hp not so much for reliability. Can you point me in the right direction as to what needs to be done? I can always run a smaller shot (35hp for about 50hp to put me around 390hp).
What power did you make just on turbo? Is it those in your sig?

??? I dont have any numbers in my sig..... I haven't dyno'd on the s3 turbo yet. I've only had it a couple months. I made 321/315 with the same setup and E1 at 21lbs. I wont be hitting the dyno until 500 miles after the clutch goes in. I'd expect to be near 340/360, with 25lbs and meth, but who knows.
A freind of mine(FraizerSRT) has a 49lb ptp S3 turbo with external gate, and he mentioned doing some oil stuff. Let me ask him, ill pm you.

that solely rests upon you and your daily driving habits. I drive my car and i dont beat on it all the time. I drive it normal aside from skyrocketing gas prices which tend to fluctuate not in our favor.
And plus im using the stage 3 stock wastegate so its driveability keeps it in check by not creating too much hp and torque to overcome the clutch. And besides im happy with the mods i got. I should be pushing 300 plus on the dyno more like 360 with that and the meth injection to the wheels and other shit ive done to it.
i just put a S3 kit W/O toys on. Useing the stock s3 wga at about 18-19 psi my clutch slips after 2 runs, so i have a feeling it is slipping alot more than i think...
has anyone have problems with the stock clutch slippin on slicks?
You mean to tell me with your mod list your stocker isnt slipping on street tires?? Damn, thats a miracle.
I think a slight majority (maybe 60%) have had no issues on stock clutch with a STOCK turbo on slicks, just make sure you are in the water when you warm them up, not on the edge, that second gear clutch drop will certainly fry it in one shot if not.
