Default Question About A Wideband

Okay.. I have practicly nothing done to my SRT right now.
- SAFC II (still in the box)
- MSD Tach Driver(or is it adapter?) (still in box)
- Typhoon Cold Air
- Apexi Turbo Timer
- Prothane Inserts

Now.. I'm probably getting my friend over tomorrow to put the SAFC in.. A mutual friend of ours is telling me I need to get a wideband for tuning. Thing is.. I don't plan on tuning my car myself.. I'll end up fucking something up and leaving myself without a car. I don't have HUGE plans with this, but within the next 3 to 4 weeks, I want to upgrade my turbo.. Possibly by the whole kit (16g Hahnracecraft Kit). So my question would be, is a wideband needed?

I also know I need to get an A/F Ratio gauge 'cause I can't tell if my car's running lean/rich, so that's in the agenda too. I also read that an external FPR is not needed at all.

Again, new to this turbo shit - let me know.

A wideband is a gauge that monitors the air to fuel ratio.

if your going to Mod your car in any way that is going to up the boost, your going to need a wideband. Even though your not going to tune yourself. Weather, ans such can effect your AFR's

It is a good investment and not hard to use.

175 - I see you in every post making a comment towards someone..

Super - thanks for the input.. My friend Kris (has a 1998 GSX running 11's) said the same thing as you. I'll pick one up then. They're like $300 right? Unless you can give me a site to find it cheaper.

Let me know.

What the hell is that supposed to mean?

If you see me in every post making "comments" then you will tell me how many times I have helped someone, just like I was helping you.

You said-

but then said-

I was just letting you know that it was the same thing, and then I added a smiley so I wouldn't come off as an ass while doing it.

I see you just joined, thats probably the reason why. Quit taking the internet so seriously.

Also, please note that two threads does not count for "I see you in every post making a comment towards someone."
