now forgive me if im not in on the lingo. BWS, simply a built tdo4 with bigger compressor wheels? S3 as in a mopar stage 3?
Yes, a BWS is a stock frame turbo, usually ported to cram in a 15G, 16G or 18G wheel. S3, yes, Mopar Stage 3. It's a TD05 turbo with it's own exhaust manifold. You'd just need some larger injectors, 3BAR sensors and a custom tune to run it. They're getting harder to come by now and usually not cheap but it's fairly painless to install. ive also been eyeballing a precision 5831 but im unsure those bolt to the stock manifold?
Nothing will bolt to a stock exhaust manifold except a stock frame turbo. Using any aftermarket turbo will require a manifold, O2 housing, hard pipes, blow off valve, external wastegate, injectors, custom tune, upgraded clutch and a bunch of other parts just to make it work. It's not simple and cheap to go big turbo.

well bnr supercars is 20 minutes from my house and this guy can build any turbo out there and is very good at it. he built my friends t25 for his sr20det, so im just going to get him to build me a bws of my own and i ordered an LC1 wideband today also. so im heading in the right direction i guess. my only issue is raising boost with the dsp or mbc? iether i have a boost leak or the dsp boost control sucks

I wouldnt get a BWS unless it was a FM E1. Most BWS's are not reliable and have a short life.
Raise boost with the DSP. PCM control boost doesnt "suck". Do a boost leak test.

My advice to you is to go back over the 1st section of the guide and actually complete the steps. If you don't know if you have a boost leak or not and boost isn't controllable via the DSP you need to get those issues and, likely, all the other issues with the car resolved first before even thinking about putting money into upgrades. The car is only going to be as reliable as you know for a fact that it is, guessing leads to VERY expensive repairs and a lot of disappointment. As for whoever BNR Supercars is, make sure you get that warranty in writing. Many very talented people have tried to make BWS upgrades for this platform over the years and only FM has proven without question to make a 100% reliable one.

As a general question towards big turbo set ups. Running boost box is it beneficial to run a lower psi spring in the external wastegate?

Yes because then you can run lower boost in 1st and 2nd to have traction.

Twelve psi to high or would eight be better or wouldn't matter to much? Sent from

I would run the 8. That way if you have traction in lower gears running just 8 PSI you can add more. If you install the 12 and dont get traction, you wouldnt be able to go any lower then 12.
