Default Problems with 180 thermostat

Just curious if anyone else has this issue with 180 thermostat. Since I have installed this my car will only boost to 12lbs. When i had the stock one i could hold 14lbs to redline. Is it true you lose boost with these cars when they dont reach the correct temperature? I had heard something like that but i live in florida and didnt think i would have an issue? What do you guys think.

It is true, but I think the correct temp is 167* so it still should'nt be an issue but I could be wrong.
