Default Ported turbo or exhuast mani

which would i get the most gains out of i have been doing some home work some ppl same the stock mani is good for 350 plus hp but some ppl say no and the ported turbo ppl say is worth less unless you have a ported mani or a combonation of both im just looking for more advice.

By far, the manifold!!! Hands down the ported turbo will barley net 5hsp, if that.

but if i get the turbo too will it benifit more having the mani?

Dont waste your money on getting the compressor housing...its a waste, seriously.

You wanna spend money? Get a ext gate AND port...maybe maxed out you will see 330hsp...maybe.

Why go through all that trouble when you can just swap turbos and see even better gains?

I meant swap in a different turbofold assembly. I'm guessing the SST and E1 turbo use the stock exhaust manifold?

i was think the ext gate pt got one for like 700 thats much i was thinkin the economy manifold .

Yes. But if you've got an SST or an E1 w/ a ported mani you'll notice huge gains.

I still don't see why you'd take the exhaust manifold off and send it off to be ported when you could just buy a whole new turbofold/turbo assembly.

I agree, why not get the whole kit brand new with ext gate, better turbo, and better manifold for not much different money?

Like the agp 3147 kit for $1250. 3147 Turbo Kit Closeout - $1250

Then if your turbo ever shoots craps on you, you can just bolt another one on (because they are pretty universal) and get back on the road instead of having to stick with the stock turbo/manifold setup.

Well- I wouldn't send them to get done. Do it yourself or try to find a good friend (Who knows what hes doing) and he can slash the price for you. I myself don't know how much they cost to get ported.
