Hi All, I have Stage 3 / W Toybox sitting in my garage. Sending it over to Bob at Form & Function after the first of the year to have him work it over. Also might wait to install it until I see what PT Performance comes up with for the stage 3. In the meantime what else should I get to compliment it. Any suggestions you guys have to the following would be great: (current mods in sig)
AGP S3R Wastegate
255 Fuel Pump
Motor and Tranny Mounts
15K on stock clutch so I will see how far that takes me
I have SAFC II waiting to go on
Boost Gauge & Wideband
Maxxfab O2 on the way
Anything else I should be looking at ? Hoping to get around 350 to the wheels on non HOM.
Thanks Much
I know you said you will be sending it my way (thanks for support! ) so most of the baseline #'s I have seen, for S3 kits UNTUNED with my portwork/ceramic and non-HOM are dynoing 320-335. Now with toys, and some tweaking with your WGA and boost controller (already listed) you will be well past your 350 goal.
That's what I'm talking about. Thanks Bob. After I saw the work you did on Hydro's setup I knew where I will be sending mine.
I promise that pics won't justify how it looks up front. It looked so good I didn't even want to put it on the car.

Ya there are plenty of good clutches that have close to a stock feel but also there are some heavy duty clutches that remind you how much power you have. Just check out modernperformance.com or performanceautowerks.com and you'll find more clutches than you'd care to know about!! Hope everything works out for ya!!!
Good god, all I'm saying is the stocker can handle S3 in HOM alot for a long time.
Why is what I said the dumbest thing you've ever heard? I don't launch the car in 1st & I haven't upgraded beyond the 350whp. I am still on stock clutch.
Anyone that knows me won't say I baby the car. Just don't race from a stop. What's the point of just spinning the wheels? I am very hard on the car otherwise. I WOT shift all the time, but everything is from a roll. Believe me, when it goes I'll get a new Mopar Upgraded Clutch like Starkie.

x2
15,000 miles of stage 3 and still on the stock clutch. Several autocross days, 2 across the entire country drives, I drive the car the way it should be driven and have had no problems. I am putting in a new one but that is only because I have some slicks and plan on running it down the track a lot this spring.

Apparently that is all you have to do to make that claim.
Note for everyone thinking about getting the kit: S3R with every bolt on out there will be fine for your everyday driving, the clutch will be great and you can go on it for a long long time. It's when you start throwing that power through it, banging gears, and all that takes a drastic toll on it. That new huge boost increase and proportional TQ jump so early in the rpms is what is going to be it's downfall.
For WOT It's Worth (FWIW)
The S3R Info Sheet, that people seem reluctant to read:
INFORMATION SHEET
STAGE 3R TURBO UPGRADE KIT
2003-2004 DODGE SRT-4
Recommended Upgrades
? P4510647 Performance Clutch
? P4510548 Blow-off Valve Conversion Kit
? W Speed-rated Tires
? P4510461 Cat-Back Exhaust System
? NGK #4306 Spark Plugs (or equivalent)
? Spark Plug Gap of .035"?.040"
HAHAHA again another supporting factor to my argument!!!
Its not a big secret. Its on the friggin web site. Some need new clutches right away due to driving style. Others dont. Dont believe everything you read. The 03-mid04 owners manual says to not use anything above 91 octane in the car. Support that argument.

You my friend are a D-bag!!! Go bug someone else!!!
My bud has an 04 with over 400 whp for over a year and just changed out his stock clutch. He broke both axles with Slicks and BFG DRs and still didn't slip the clutch. It wasn't until he put out over 500 whp & slipped on some stock wheels and stock BFGs did he wheel hop the car and brake the input-shaft. He changed out the stock clutch unit only because the Tranny was off and wanted to kill two birds with one stone.
But, in my car (03), I started having clutch problems @ ~4K miles. I've changed mine out 3 times. Maybe my car was built on a Friday and his in the middle of the week sometime.
Yeah, seriously. All I was saying is the stocker is pretty good on my car. Not at all saying you don't need to change it out ever..... Once it starts smokin, change it. The Mopar thing is a recommendation & a good one at that, but not a requirement. It's like the "recommended" amound of cement for fence posts. I think it's like 8 bags. Lol Yeah
