My stage 3 is breaking-up from around 3400 to 5800 and then it smooths out after that and pulls strong until redline. It starts and ends strong its the mid range where it breaks-up. I have a new set of NGKs and I have gapped them from .42 down to .30 and never changed a thing. I have the MSD wires and coil pack. Its runing around 24psi til redline.

I had that smae issue last year. I replaced the plug wire which were 3 years old & also upgraded to a Screamin Deamon coil. Got rid of just about all the break up. Once in a while if I'm running around in HOM it'll give a little hessitation & go. I'd say it resolved 90% of my issue.

Have you tried replacing the MSD pack for the stock one?

Is it normal for a stg3 car to backfire during deceleration? Like say for instance when u match revs to down shift.

stage 3 cars pop and backfire like mad.

on a full exhaust on downshift and upshift it would pop

on the 3" dump ..while shifting hard it would make some sweet ignition cutting noise , and backfire alot.

I felt bad the other day. There was a little 6 year old kid sitting on the curb about 6 feet behind my car holding a puppy. I didnt think much of it when I walked by but when I started the car the poor kid fell over and dropped the puppy.

Yeah S3 is pops and gurgles alot! I have a 3" 02, high flow cat, and 3" catback with a muffler and I still had a some dude follow me home and start yelling at me in German that my car is Kaput!

Is anybody using an AGP S3 WGA running directly to the compressor housing? I'm considering doing it since I have the NDE TCS now....any advantages/drawbacks?
