Well, as some of you know, I am testing out new parts for Forge Motorsport. On Friday afternoon we installed their new and improved BOV on my SRT. This one has:
- 3 times larger diameter holes for air to vent out
- Twists off while base is still on car for super easy spring changes
- Mounts in stock BOV location
- You will be able to get in any color to match your SRT-4
I have to say that I am very impressed with this unit. The larger diameter holes make the boost come back faster than I have ever seen. While shifting, I went from 15lbs boost to 24 vacuum and back to 15lbs boost in less than 1/4 sec (without WOT shifting). I have never seen the needle move that fast! The sound is really nice too. It has a very quick blow off due to the many good sized openings. It isn't high pitched or whistley like a lot of the BOVs I've heard. It reminds me more of the sound of a large diameter air cannon firing. Hard to explain. I'm going to see if one of the guys here in Daytona can help me get a sound clip on here.
As far as pricing goes, I'm not 100% sure yet. I will be giving my final thumbs up this week, from which they will go into production and probably be ready in a week or two.

I hear you guys on the request for the sound/ video. I am working on it as fast as I can (I know the wait would be killing me too!). It'll be worth it when you hear and see it.
Dan, I'd love to make it to a Tampa meet to see you, Raptor, and the rest of the old gang. School has been kicking my but lately though. I want to try making it down there sometime soon though. As I told you before, you're always welcome here in Daytona (where the cars are fast and the women are fine).
Where is the vacuum line run to from the unit? Still the factory Surge Valve Solenoid or the intake manifold?

Still the factory Surge Valve Solenoid. You do not reroute the vacuum line on this unit. You just attach the valve to the pink line and you're good to go.
a short vid clip was taken last night by SRT4shizzle. Now all we have to do is figure out how to get it on a computer, then on the internet. I'm trying to get the clip up as fast as I can. James

Finally someone decided it it better to place the BOV on the turbo housing. However, I bet the pricing wil be high.
Pricing is the same for the neon valve as our 007 and 006 valves. We are not a sponsor just yet so we don't want to step on anyones toes posting an actual price. Valves are in production and we would hope to have them in our warehouse in the next 3-4 weeks, along with our billet adjustable actuator and bracket assembly.
Ok, I've given it some thought, and I don't understand how this can be an "improved" BOV. How is it any better than the stock surge valve?
It won't hold more boost.(Proven by PVO)
Is it just for sound?
Does it flow more air?
Prove why it's any better.
If it doesn't blow off at vacuum, it's already improved
A lot of us don't like the MOPAR BOV due to it blowing off at vacuum.. This unit looks great and is an easy replacement for the stock surge valve (uses the same pink line from the solenoid also)..
No cutting pipes up and will definitely be *MUCH* easier to install when compared to MOPAR (the bolts are short and won't hit the oil line during install - unlike the long bolts on the mopar which is pretty much required due to the thickness of the mopar plate).
Their Wastegate looks beefy as well so i'll be buying one of those too
