Default NEW - direct-fit BOV for SRT-4!

Announced at SEMA! I had emailed the company prior to knowing this - they had the BOV listed as "under-development"....well - got way more than I bargained for!

I have been given an opportunity to test this new direct-fit BOV for the SRT-4 that was introduced at SEMA. It is a piston-type, so no diaphragms to rip, and has a set of springs to adjust the BOV for higher boost, higher performance applications (Stage 3+). I will be posting pics and sound clips to show the SRT-4 community what this BOV looks and sounds like. From a pure engineering perspective, I have always liked the stock location closest to the turbo - this ensures shortest path to venting boost, thus less chance for turbo damage, and also means that installation does not require additional hard-pipes or other paraphernalia to install or to achieve more performance, if desired. In addition, it is fully compatible with stock PCM-controlled boost so messing with the solenoid lines and plugging or removing lines is not necessary. I am very excited to be a "test-mule" for this product - it has the features I really wanted - stock fit and location, adjustability, reliable design. I'll post more once installed - any questions, lemme know!

PICS(just got this in the mail TODAY (Happy Thanksgiving to ME! )):

Default Forge vs. Samco

QUOTE=uberingram]How is this different from the unit Forge offers? Just curious.[/quote]

Forge uses a diaphragm, Samco uses a piston

Pic from box - includes words and pretty pictures. Samco makes both piston type and diaphragm, depending on application:

Note: SRT-4 is a single-piston BOV, not the depicted dual piston shown on the box, but the basic design difference can be seen...

Beautiful. Anxiously awaiting your review.

About time someone developed a quality BOV for the stock location.

do you know how much this might run?

would you be able to t a line off the tbody straight to this, or would you still have to run it off the solenoid?

I'm a turbo tard and all I'm concerned about is whether I can rev it when I go by girls on the street and make them scream.
