Default Just done the 93 Octane tune with DSP!

Just done the 93 tune on my 2003 with only an AGP cold air intake and a TurboXS RFL BOV. Its 27 degrees Fahrenheit here... I went out and mashed second and third gear, and it stuck at 16PSI... didn't spike any higher, or fall down. Just stayed right at 16. Does this sound right? It sure feels better then a MBC set to 16

Wow, that's odd. I used to spike 20, settle around 15ish or so (with stock wastegate).

im 99% sure its beacuse of our cold weather. off the 93 tune, i was going straight to 12psi. a couple months ago i would spike 14 and hold 12.

from what i understand (correct me if im wrong) the computer measures the readings between the MAP and TIP sensor. since the air outside is more dense, being thats its colder, its getting the same amount of power running colder air. so the PCM is just limiting the boost...

right?

Yes it limits boost depending on the weather. Do you have a wideband at all? With just the 93 tune it leans it wayyy out. I'm talking into the 13's. And yeah it's cold as fuck out here lol.

typical boost levels for the 93-canned tune

you're on track with the 15-16 PSI.. mine is about there with it being 20 degrees outside.. I just installed mine a week ago with the canned tune as well

I would either take the tune off for now until you put the wideband on or I'd go about 35% rich from 6-7k, 35% rich from 5-6k, 18% rich from 4-5k and leave the rest.

At least do some data logging first. I would think if you're into the 13s during wot you would get some significant knock. If that is the case add fuel or retard timing to get knock under control.
