If you imagine other peoples cars are just like yours, because in the 15,000 other threads like this they are literally just like yours you will be hearing the same thing in those threads as I'm sure a few people in this one will say.
Bigger turbo than a 50 trim if you want 500. Bigger fuel, get some meth injection in there if you want to remain on pump. If you can do e85 you will need a more complex/larger fuel system for 500. Get a clutch that can handle 500tq. If your trans is tired then you need to freshin it up to handle the power. Intercooler. A upper IC pipe/cold side pipe, BOV. A way to tune. Overall maintence on the vehicle. Electrical, mechanical, etc. Get those accomplished and you can start worrying about 500...there is a lot that goes into making good numbers. *inb4peoplerecommendflavorofthemonthturbos
*inb4peoplerecommendturbostoobigfortheirneeds 6262 and BOOM, DONEW!!!! I kid I kid

If that's the case you'd be better off paying someone to hit 500 for you. No joke.

Honestly I'm afraid to go beyond 400whp because of the time and money needed to get there...but I'm one for practicality and with no track in Hawaii, my power will only be for sprirted highway pulls and rare roll races. PG86100 using AutoGuide.C

What are your plans for the car? That seems like a lot of unusable power for anything other than the drag strip, it would more than likely just spin below 100mph on the street.

Whoa lots of hate but also lots of things to think about if 400 is more practical to achieve and I'm going to take everyone's word on it so with that what would be some more bolt ons that would make it more realistic numbers.
And kind of a back ground why I'm trying to achieve these numbers is to beat my cousin(been an ongoing battle) but he just put a 16 g on his lancer and honestly that's my goal is to make sure I smoke him just sayin Thanks for supportive comments Also if you can enlighten anymore ideas with a build plan for 400 would be awesome and greatly appreciated And don't get me wron I'm all over the Internet reading all sorts of build plans but never really know exactly how to go about it I have my own garage and I love workin in my car and want to continue to learn that's why this thread was posted |

That's it?!? Just go to agp turbo and order a kit with a 5431. Get a return line kit and a dsp. Possibly a meth kit if you really intend on avoiding e85( don't know why???)...what's else the lancer got? We talking EVO or regular? What's it putting down? PG86100 using AutoGuide.C
