Hey guys, currently I have a Garrett t3/t4 - 60 trim on my car running 22psi. I am in the process on breaking in the new motor and when done, going to retune it for 32psi on race gas and 26psi on pump + meth. The 60 trim on 22psi without the cams I have now only made me 330whp which I was disapointed with.
I am wanting some suggestions and some next step ideas on what next step up size turbo to get.
I am looking at getting one of the PTPerformance manifolds that are in development to bring the turbo around to just infront of the battery so running a large turbo would not be a problem.
I am thinking of something like a GT40 or simular. Does anyone know of any other company that makes a manifold for the srt-4 with a T4 flange?
My goal is to reach over 500whp on race gas to break into the 11's on drag RADIALS. (Must run street legal tires in the events I run in at the track)

something is seriously wrong with your new motor or the tune. 330whp at 22 psi is horrid for a 60 trim. Look at the numbers in my sig at 22lbs. I would stay away from ptp products personally. There is no reason to run a turbo the size of a gt40 to just break 500. the 60 trim you have will get you there on race gas. A standard 50 trim can come close to 500 on race fuel. If your set on getting a larger turbo i would look into agp's delta series. A D55 or even D65 would be perfect for your needs and fit just fine while not being fucking lag monster like a gt40

I have two turbos in mind for you that work great with a well rounded combination. One made 431 whp @ 18 psi of boost and the other made 503 whp @ 22-23 psi of boost. Both were done on pump gas with very conservative tunes. Feel free to contact us for more info.

Owner of FM's GT37R powered SRT4 513 whp 469 wtq pump gas (93 octane) @ 6,000 rpms

330 whp on 60 trim it don't make sense why so low?
Wasn't on a Dynojet, this was on a Dyno Dynamics which read notoriously low compared to what most guys dyno on (dynojet). The car did trap 119 and change on pump gas at 22 psi so I wouldn't say the tune is too far off.
So to reach my goals on the dyno dynamics I'm going to need a decent size turbo, say 37r or maybe the new PTE 6262. I'm still researching options but any suggestions are very welcome.
the 60trim should do what you want or close to it. you need to look in other places. and you deff dont need a turbo mani that relocates it to the front. if your bent on changing turbos go with a d55. i say there are many other places/parts and problem to fix first

Very true about the Dyno Dynamics dynometers. the goog thing tho is they provide a usable street tune. I've heard of some cases where dyno jet tunes need to be adjusted for the street. Don't know if that's a fact just what I've read.
From the limited research i've done on Dyno Dynamics, if you add 12% to their readings, you can compare it to a typical dyno jet.
But I don't think a bigger turbo is what you need. If you must have street legal tires look into the mickey thompson DOT legal drag tires.
at 330 whp on a 60 trim at 22 psi... how much timing? what afr's? probably getting 59034889 degrees of knock as well
honestly, take your car to a good tuner.... drive it to realtune.. 32 psi on a 60 trim is a waste and will only hurt the turbo.
The tuner I use, his name is Mark and owns Fastec in Knoxville, TN. For those that live near Knoxville, they know he is the best tuner in the area. He has rebuilt, tuned, and dyno'd many cars including his drag WRX that put down around 950awhp on the dyno dynamics. So im pretty sure he knows what he is doing. My Air/fuels were around 10.9-11.4 all the way to redline with methanol.

obviously not if ur car is making 330whp(369whp adding 12%) at 22psi with meth. something is wrong somewhere. if u get a bigger turbo ur gonn slow urself down. a 37r can make 700whp+. u dont need anything like that. the 60 trim can do it but it will be easier with a 35r or a d55. i recommend u take ur car to a different shop to get tuned. if i were in ur shoes i would be pissed off, not trying to find a bigger turbo.
but go ahead and spend more money on a setup good for 700whp when ur tryin to get 500
