You won't find a spot to stick it on the passenger side. You will more then likely end up putting it on the cold side (DS). I have mine mounted right after the intercooler, but I don't have the stock pipes either. You can't even see it, but you can really hear it

did you have trouble finding the properly sized snap-ring to secure the ssq? ive heard multiple horror stories of people waiting days, even weeks finding the proper snap-ring for the ssq

yeah thats what i heard, that it wont appear to be able to fit but thats good because you want it to be tight as hell to hold ur bov from flyin off on the highway and ive heard multiple stories about finding the right kinda snap ring pliers..........

The snap ring fit fine. Ya, it took two people to get the damn thing in, but I did get it in. Glad that I never have to take it off ... I broke my set of snap ring pliers trying to get it in. I had to go bother my neighbor up the street to help get it in. After wrestling with it for twenty minutes I knew I couldn't get it on my own with broken snap ring pliers. Mine is in the perfect spot, you can't even see it. It's between the intercooler and the fog light on the drivers side. I have the FM FMIC kit so it routes the piping different then stock. But it fits right there nicely. The only way you can see it is if you look really hard at the grill from the passanger side. You can't see it from under the car very well and you can't see it from the top. I have it pointing towards the passenger side of the car, so it's really loud for everyone when I cruise by LOL.

Edit: FYI I still have the stock surge valve and the HKS SSQV hooked up
