The mopar blow off plate is just a vent. There really isn't a sound associated with those types. The loudness depends on which one you buy, there really isnt a set loudness or anything. They blowoff everytime your throttle plate closes (when you let off the gas) to release all the boost that did not enter the engine to prevent it from backing up to the turbo and causing Surge "flutter-sound".

so the Mopar BOV is just the conversion that has the blue plate? they don't really have a Mopar BOV? is it worth it to get the Mopar blue plate? i really like the sound of the Mopar BOV that i listen to on youtube videos but i'm guessing its the stock surge valve with the blue plate?

i've tried them all except tial. imo it seems for high boosting cars that one is the way to go. but if you wanna scare the shit out of pedestrians, and drivers with their windows down get the hks or type-s (what i have now)

as previously mentioned, that "ching" sound will get annoying after awhile

I personally have not heard the sound of the BOV Conversion plates, but i would imagine there is some sort of hiss or whistle with such a large amount of air pressure passing through it. I did see a plate though that goes in between the blow off plate and the body of the turbo that supposedly makes the "BOV noise"....But if I were you I would go with an HKS. I have that one now and so I can say that I noticed a big difference in being able to hold Part throttle boost much better, which makes your car a bit more "gitty" when taking off and zooming around town. I like the sound as well! Its louder and sounds cleaner and if you don't like the whistle it makes (Which i don't know why anyone wouldnt) then you can simply take out the three fins on the outlet of the BOV. The only thing i can complain about was that pain in the ass snap ring that holds it on to the uppipe! but other than that i love it

Both are good valves. I prefer the Tial.

i got the hks for now but will up grade to tial..tial sucks on small turbos or cars that dont bost over 21psi,but once u go over 21 psi it sounds nasty good..

buddys got it on his sti and his boost is at 19psi and u can barely hear it,but once he changes over to race mod(26psi)sounds crazy than..

you can also buy a softer spring for the tial if ud like
