Default Hard Pipes that actually FIT????

Ok guys,

Here's the deal......I have all hard piping on the car now.....however, the UHP(cold side) doesn't fit worth a CRAP........I'm not going to bash on a company or their products, so I won't drop names.....and honestly, I don't even hardly remember what pipe it is it's been so long......

But here's what I want to know.

What Hard Pipes are you running?
How is fitment?
Do the pipes line up properly with the FMIC in/out or do they stretch the couplers to be able to work....?

Thanks for your help guys.

Josh

Josh im running the Turbonetics UPP and ED Beast and mine fits just fine.. The couplers arent stretched, I dont have any issue of couplers leaking or blowing off (but im sure the Tbolts help with that). Once I have enough money I will be switching to the ED hard pipes also and see how those work out. Overall I am very happy with the Netics UPP's fitment and quality..

I've tried the JMB pipe, and the AGP pipe. I don't like the fitment of either.

I have the PTP cold side and Charge pipe with the PTP direct fit. They fit great and there is plenty of clearance for the slave cylinder. There is approx. 2" clearance actually.

I have a JMB coldside and ED hotside, both fit like absolutely crap. I'm sure the variance in production is a factor, but also RandD. I may get all 3 PTP pipes when money allows, i love their products.

My AGP coldside pipe was the easiest pipe to install, And it fit perfect. I installed another pipe on a car and the bov and pipe were hitting the slave cylinder and it was just a huge pain to get to work.

I think it's hard to buy product for different vendors and have them fit. Does anyone have a fmic, hard pipes from the same vendor? I have a cca direct fit and a turbotronic cold side pipe. When I got my car the pipe was pressing against the slave cylinder. I adjusted the fmic and now it fit fine. I think you have to adjust the front mount to get pipes to fit correctly.

I'd have to vote for the PTP unit.

Look at the pictures on the site...

I think when it comes to hard pipes you are pretty much going to have to deal with fitment issues regardless of your setup. There is still much variability from car to car even when stock.

I know with my JMB hardpipes that they didn't fit so well with the stock intercooler, but they fit really nicely with the MPx FMIC. I have plenty of clearance from the slave cylinder now.

It would be nice if they made the SAMCO's hoses with a molded in flange for a blowoff valve.

i had the ED (new style)hard pipes with my CCA DF FMIC and the fitment of the hard pipes sucked. just installed a set of the PTP hardpipes on a locals car. fitment was awesome with the PTP FMIC.

hmmmm.....I wonder if I should just check into having custom pipes made up and turn the whole system into a V-Band setup........
